Should Boise Schools Provide FREE Meals To Children & Teens?
To be clear, this writer fully supports children being provided a free lunch at school. Being a kid is impossible in 2025, and the last thing we need for our young people is to worry about where their next meal is coming from.
Unfortunately, not everyone shares that same sentiment. Which, is too bad for them, as Boise kids are about to get even more free food in their tummies this summer.
What's going on with free food in Boise Schools?
The Boise School District just dropped the news that it'll offer free meals to students this summer, thanks to the Summer Food Service Program. The best part? This program is being offered to all children ages 1-18, and their family income or school enrollment status is irrelevant.
Why anyone would be against this idea is beyond the comprehension of this writer. Would they prefer the funds go to something other than making sure our children are healthy and fed? Weird flex, but okay.

Even more divisive than feeding our kids? That's right, if our kids should or shouldn't be brought to school on electric school buses.
Would you guess that every single parent is a certified mechanic and electrical engineer? Because it seems everyone who goes off in the comments about electric buses is trying to give a lecture on how they function as a vehicle.
Again, weird flex, but okay.
