6 Mistakes Idaho Teen Drivers Make At The Gas Pump
As the school year gets underway, the Treasure Valley roads will start filling up with buses, parents dropping their kids off at school, and yes, first-time teen drivers driving themselves to school.

Sure, it's a quote from a superhero movie but there is a great responsibility that comes with great power. As our police routinely remind us, driving is a privilege, not a right.
Many of us can recall the first time we were given "the green light" (sorry, we had to) to drive solo. For teenagers, it's an exciting time and is a milestone moment that can open many doors - some good, some bad.
Most of the teen drivers in the Treasure Valley have good intentions and want to do the right thing. We're not here to talk about their driving abilities, we can all improve in that area.
Outside of vehicle maintenance and parking lots, one could argue that the next most important area to familiarize a new driver with is the gas pump. Pumping gas is a relatively easy task but can be dangerous, especially when you have a distracted teen checking their social media.

Some of the things we're going over might seem like common sense but there are quite a few mistakes us experienced drivers make at the pump too.
