This Grocery Store Ranked Idaho’s Best Independent Store, Do You Agree?
We always strive to support local, but in the month of September, Idahoans really double down on supporting local because it’s Idaho Preferred Month!
We’ve covered some local eateries and even incredible Idaho Agriculture facts that will absolutely blow your mind etc. ... But what about local grocery stores or farm shops?
A recent article from Lovefood features a specific local grocery store for being ranked the best one in all of Idaho. Any guesses?
Nel’s Bi-Lo Market in Pocatello
Lovefood says...
“A local favorite since 1957, Nel’s Bi-Lo is known for having the best meat around. It also stocks baked goods like cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit and veg, pantry supplies, alcohol, and flower baskets, making it a great alternative to the big supermarkets. It even has Meals in a Box (such as ingredients to make chicken pot pie) for curbside pick-up – perfect to give to self-isolating family members.”

Personally, I’ve never been to a Bi-Lo market, however, I’ve recently been to the Red Top Market in Wilder, Idaho, and that was a really incredible experience. There were so many fresh (and LOCAL) fruits, veggies, dairy products, beef, honey, and more. I went on a “Thirsty Thursday” and there were food trucks and live music etc. It was fun!
So, either way, whatever local shops you choose to go to, you’re still supporting local which is the awesome part! Keep scrolling for facts about Idaho Agriculture that will blow your mind AND 34 of the BEST Local Treasure Valley Food Trucks 👇
