Idaho Mountain Town Named One of The Most Scenic in U.S.
A website called Yardbarker put together The 13 Most Scenic US Mountain Towns and our corner of the country had a big chunk of them.
Most of our neighboring states each had one:
Park City, Utah
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Big Sky, Montana
Leavenworth, Washington
Bend, Oregon
Lake Tahoe, straddling both California and Nevada is the breathtaking town of Tahoe.
Idaho is blessed with a lot of beautiful mountains and beautiful mountain towns. Stanley Idaho is one of my favorite places in the world but that one didn't make this national list. The Idaho town that was named by Yardbarker as one of the 13 Most Scenic US Mountain Towns is Ketchum, Idaho.
The website says, "A cute town near Boise, people from all over flock to Ketchum for snow sports in winter and summer hikes when the weather warms up. Home to clean rivers, immense mountains, and a small but packed-with-cultural offerings town, you may never want to leave."
According to Wikipedia, "Located in the Wood River Valley, Ketchum is adjacent to Sun Valley and the communities share many resources: both sit in the same valley beneath Bald Mountain, with its world-famous skiing. The city also draws tourists from around the world to enjoy its fishing, hiking, trail riding, tennis, shopping, art galleries, and more."
