A Viral ‘Shrek Rave’ is Set to Return to Boise This Weekend
It's the most random event that we've ever heard of--but it didn't take long for us to realize how popular it was, either. About one year ago, we shared the news that a Shrek themed rave would be coming to Boise and the internet absolutely ate it up.
There are no references to raves in the popular movie series--so what's with the concept?
Let's re-visit our findings from earlier, when we decided to look into what goes on at a Shrek Rave:

If you love Shrek and raves, this event is definitely for you!
We love Shrek and we think raves are a great time. Put them together? Well, apparently it means that you're set for a sold-out. successful event.
The event dubbed itself as "dumb" earlier this year and encouraged folks to just come and have fun. We can certainly understand the beauty of not taking an event like this so seriously--the event page also exclaims that "cool is dead"!
We spent some time looking into comments about the event: who is most excited for this? So far, hundreds of commenters have said that they have already secured their tickets for a second round in Boise.
One commenter said:
Never gone to a show at the knitting factory, and haven't been to a rave in about 15 years lmao. But I seriously want to take my best friend to this lmao.
Apparently Shrek really knows how to bring people together! Announced just a few months ago--the return of Boise's 'Shrek Rave' is set to take place this September. It sold out the first time and we expect it to do the same this time around--lock in your tickets before you miss out on the fun!
