Loved ones of a north Idaho man are still holding out hope that he is alive and well despite not hearing from him for close to a decade.

Discussions about a missing man in the community of St. Maries, Idaho, are still ongoing after nearly 10 years since Dewey Shawver III was last seen or heard from.St. Maries is located 340 miles north of Boise, and was the place Shawver was known to be on November 23, 2016, according to The Charley Project.

According to information shared by the Idaho Missing Persons / Meta website, an acquaintance of Mr. Shawver's claims he was contacted by the missing father and told to tell his friends and family that he was well and wished to be by himself.

Missing Idaho Man Could Be Driving A Red Ford Truck

The allegations that Mr. Shawver voluntarily left his family have not been proven to be credible in this case. Shawver is 5'10" and weighed approximately 250 pounds when he was last seen a decade ago. He was known to drive a reddish Ford F-350 pickup truck (2006), with the Idaho license plate number KV2800.
