How Much Does Gas Cost in Idaho?

That means getting from one place to another in your gasoline-powered vehicle costs 26 cents more than last month and 7 cents more than last week. If you’re keeping score at home, the average price per gallon of gas in Idaho is $4.49.

“The Middle East conflict and continued fighting between Russia and Ukraine demonstrate how interconnected the global economy really is,” says AAA Idaho public affairs director Matthew Conde. “At this point, short-term relief in pump prices may have to come from lower fuel demand as the weather gets colder.”

Why is Gasoline so important to America?

Gasoline powers everything in America. The cost of diesel fuel affects the cost of goods, from food to auto parts. A new report from Fox News says ship traffic has increased by more than 400% over the last few weeks.

Consumer consumption should level off as the summer vacation season ends. A change of season also means a change in the gasoline blend. Could a winter blend mean lower prices for Idahoans at the gas pumps?
Once again, AAA Idaho/Oregon's Mathew Conde shares what he knows:
“By mid-September, most refineries will be making the switch to winter-blend fuel. Yes, it’s cheaper to make than summer-blend, but it’s unclear how much this will benefit drivers at this time,” Conde said. “We will have to keep a watchful eye on the latest developments.”
