Idaho homes are filled with guns. We don’t know how many, because many gun owners don’t want other people to know how many guns they have. They might have an impressive armory and tell you they only have a few, just enough, or one or two.

Based on that knowledge, that we don’t know how many and where there are guns, it would seem extra dangerous for burglars to pick any Idaho home to rob. So, for your own safety, burglars, don’t rob homes in Idaho.

These Are the 20 Idaho Cities That Are Targeted the Most by Burglars

Despite the variety of reasons we don’t want robberies to happen in Idaho homes, they do happen. Statistics were just released about where robberies happen the most in Idaho. The data includes burglary and breaking and entering reports from 2025 and 2026. A scary and interesting takeaway is that, while we are only in the first half of the year, we have already had more burglary and B&E reports across Idaho.

There were 1,223 burglaries reported in 2025, and we are already over 1,240 in 2026 - a 1% increase. Based on FBI data reports shared by the Compare the Market website, Idaho had the 12th largest increase in the United States, two spaces above California - granted the ranking is based on percentage, not the number of reports which is nearly 50,000 in CA. For another comparison, we are up 1%, and Utah is down 35%.
