Grocery shopping is one of my least favorite things in the world, so I'm excited to try Instacart!

Honestly, I think my hate for grocery shopping comes from my childhood fear of getting lost in the grocery store.  I would always freak out when my mom said "Go get this from the next aisle and I'll meet you back here."  There's no way she was trying to lose me, but it seemed like every time I went to go get whatever it was she sent me to get...she was never in the same place when I came back.  That's probably why I can go grocery shopping on my own and be fine, but if my fiancé and I go together, I refuse to separate from him.  So more often than not, he'll just grocery shop on his way home.

But it's very possible that neither of us will ever physically have to do the grocery shopping again once Instacart launches in Ada County.  The company, originally founded in San Francisco, is teaming up with Whole Foods, Albertsons, Petco, Costco and Natural Grocers to bring you items you order through their smartphone app or website in as little as an hour.

Once the service launches you'll be able to use Instacart in Boise, Eagle, Meridian, Garden City and Idaho City.

Now, if you're the complete opposite of me and LOVE grocery shopping, you can pick up some extra cash by becoming one of Instacart's 100+ new shoppers.  They need local shoppers and cashiers that can work up to 29 hours a week.  Drivers and Drivers+Shoppers can work for unlimited hours and maximize their pay by working on Sundays when grocery stores are usually the busiest.

Instacart's official launch date in Ada County is on Thursday, August 24th and if you'd like to try it, make sure you use the code HIBOISE when you checkout! That's going to save you $20 on your first order of $35 or more...plus your delivery is free your first time! That code is good until October 28th! To learn more click HERE.
