A mountain lion that became too comfortable in a Wood River Valley community was removed by non-lethal force on Thursday.

A mountain lion was killed by a hunter after the big cat attacked a dog and ate half of it in Cascade during the weekend.

Mountain Lion reported in East Boise residential area.

Fight back if the mountain lion attacks. Stay on your feet, use sticks, rocks, backpack hands to fight back. Use bear spray if you have it.
