Imagine Ordering A Pizza In Idaho & The Cops Show Up Instead

Some of us have had interactions with police and some of us haven't. For those who haven't, it can be an intimidating process, but it's not all bad, right?

What it all boils down to is that you remain respectful, comply, and follow the rules, and everything should work out!

Now - imagine you're ordering a pizza and expecting the average/cliche delivery driver to show up and leave your food at the door. Instead of that cliche driver, you're greeted by a member of Star police... what would go through your mind?

Our police can do it all

In a cheeky Facebook post, Star police say that's exactly what happened last Monday (8/26):

"Though we're occasionally an unwanted Uber ride for folks, DoorDash is a new one for us," Star Police said on their Facebook page.

"On August 26th, 2024, Star Police deputies made a traffic stop near W. State St. and N. Highbrook Way in Star. After contacting the driver, deputies discovered he had an active misdemeanor warrant for Failure to Appear for Misdemeanor Citation – he was also in the middle of delivering pizza for DoorDash."

Imagine being that driver for a moment - how bad would that feel? You think you're minding your business, making a couple of bucks on a Monday... then BAM! You're busted for not appearing for your misdemeanor citation.

But don't worry - the pizza stayed warm.

"While the driver was transported to the Ada County Jail for his warrant, Deputy Prather delivered the pizza to the Star citizen who ordered it."

First off, shout out to the Deputy for committing to the assignment and delivering a fresh pie. But we do have one question... did the delivery driver disclose the address? What was the reaction of the customer?

We have so many unanswered questions but shout out to the driver for sharing the address (if they did) and big kudos to our local police for once again, going above and beyond the call of duty.
