With horror content available everywhere and in nearly every form of media that you can think of, it can be difficult to scare true fans of horror or true crime. I would consider myself a hardcore horror film fan and even I find it difficult to get creeped out from time to time.

There is, however, one video that comes to mind that sends shivers up my spine and it's even scarier because... well, it's true.

The most haunted mine in America?

Just six hours away from Boise is Horton Mine in Pershing County, Nevada. According to OnlyInYourState.com, the mine dates back to the 1800s so there is no doubt some rich history in the tunnel.

A YouTube channel called Exploring Abandoned Mines And Unusual Places has a video showing a man entering the Horton Mine and let me tell you... it is the stuff of nightmares.

The whole vibe and aesthetic of the mine could be mistaken for a creepy horror film. There are hanging chains in the mine, rusty metal throughout, and without a flashlight, pure darkness.

It's creepy for sure and at one point, you can actually see and hear some paranormal activity happening in the mine. Let's take a look...

Creepy Haunted Nevada Mine Video Will Keep You Up At Night

Exploring Horton Mine in Nevada is easily one of the most terrifying things you'll ever experience. The screams, paranormal activity, and sounds of machinery in complete darkness will certainly keep you awake at night...

I just love how calm the guy is in the video despite the fact that the freakin' ghost of God knows what is fiddling with a chain right in front of him.

That's going to be a nope from me!

Is this mine more haunted than any paranormal hot spot in the Treasure Valley?
