Picture it.

You're driving around, minding your own business, and you get pulled over by your friendly neighbor Idaho Police officer. You're given a citation, a ticket, that you must now pay for, because you had a safety feature installed on your vehicle.

This could very much be your future no more than 24 hours from now.

Um, what's going on? Is my car somehow illegal now?

Well, that depends. On your tires, actually.

Tomorrow (Wednesday, April 30th, 2025) is the last day you can legally drive around Idaho with studded snow tires on your vehicle. Meaning, if you put studded tires on your vehicle a few months ago so you could get through some tumultuous weather, you absolutely have to take them off, like, today.

If you don't, yes there could actually be consequences.

Maybe you've...never once driven in the snow before? We're not here to shame you. Some folks grow up in warmer climates, and we're here to help!

All jokes aside, mastering controlling your vehicle in the snow or ice is a pretty hefty challenge to conquer, especially if you're a newcomer to the wet stuff.
