Boise Is Getting a Visit From Keanu Reeves This Weekend
Formed in 1991 in Los Angeles, California, the band 'Dogstar' has long been garage band favorite. Seeing as it literally started in a garage among three guys, it's a fitting 'grunge' kind of vibe.
The band has toured for quite a while, opening for the likes of Weezer and even preforming a few years ago at the massive Bottlerock Music Festival in Napa Valley.
Now, they're headed to Boise.
What's so unique about the band? The bassist happens to be Keanu Reeves--yes, the movie star. Random? Totally. Worth checking out? We think YES.
The actor has played the bass for this band since its inception and remains in the band today. So fans in Boise--of Keanu or of Dogstar--should be thrilled!
The concert will take place on Saturday, September 19th.
Doors will open at 7:00 p.m., the concert will begin an hour late at 8:00 p.m. and expect Dogstar a little later, as one opener, The Backfires, are listed as part of the tour stop.
Tickets to the show are going for about $60 before taxes and fees and according to The Knitting Factory's website, they're still available.
You can secure your ticket to the show, HERE.
Looking for an elevated experience? The band is offering VIP packages on this tour, which include some collectibles and a meet and greet with Keanu, **cough**, we mean, Dogstar. According to their website, Boise's VIP allotment is sold out at the moment, but we do recommend keeping an eye on it; oftentimes, more are released.
Access their VIP links, HERE.
