If there is one thing that we know about folks here in the Treasure Valley, it's that discussing our 'driving' can be a polarizing topic. Drivers in Boise say that Nampa has the worst drivers. People in Nampa say that folks in Boise can't drive. And just about every Idahoan will claim that Californians have no clue how to drive.

The truth? Who knows.

Just last week, we were first to report that Idaho State Police were searching for a motorcyclist that evaded police not once, but twice in a single day.

This 'bad driver' was high on the radar with local law enforcement after a series of pursuits early last week and authorities turned to the public for help in identifying this motorcyclist.

According to Idaho State Police, this driver was going over 100 miles per hour on Tuesday, June 4th going westbound on Interstate 84-- he did not yield when a trooper attempted a traffic stop.

Later on in the day, the driver was spotted driving recklessly again on Interstate 84 -- this time, exceeding 150 miles per hour. Out of safety concerns, police did not initiate a pursuit.

Shortly after calling out for help from the public, tips led to the identification of this driver and the individual turned themselves in.  Idaho State Police will now file criminal charges.

In a statement following the arrest, Captain Michael Winans of the Idaho State Police said:

People are fed up with this type of dangerous riding behavior, and I think it directly contributed to the high number of tips we received. Motorcycle riding comes with responsibilities, and we’ve seen far too many dangerous incidents lately. Reckless riding isn’t only illegal, it has become a significant threat to the safety of both riders and the public.

You may remember this high profile police chase that took place not long ago?

Boise High Speed Chase Caught on Camera

On Sunday, April 10th, a high speed chase took place in the streets of Boise. The pursuit by Boise Police eventually ended near Bishop Kelly High School where more drama played out. Fantastic footage was captured by Vin Crosby, a well-known Boise meteorologist who said that during the chase, the suspect came within just feet of hitting him.
