BREAKING: Active Shooter Situation in Dallas
Terrifying news is coming out of Dallas, Texas this evening. Shots have been fired at what was a protest being held in downtown Dallas. We will continue to keep you updated as more details are released.

1:06 a.m. MST: The name of the first slain officer has been released. From the DART Twitter: "DART grieving the loss of Ofc Brent Thompson, 43, killed during Thurs protest. First DART officer killed in line of duty. Joined DART 2009."
1:05 a.m. MST: A fifth Dallas police officer has been declared dead.
10:36 p.m. MST: The Dallas Police department has tweeted a statement confirming that the person of interest they circulated has turned himself in. A second suspect was taken into custody after a shootout with SWAT officers. A suspicious package found near that suspect's location is being secured by the bomb squad.
10:20 p.m. MST: CNN reports that four officers are deceased. Police are investigating a claim that a bomb may be or has been, planted.
10:09 p.m. MST: According to CNN Dallas Police are reporting that 11 officers have been shot, 3 have been declared deceased. Police are on the lookout for one person of interest being labeled as a suspect. They have tweeted his photo as seen below. Police believe there were two shooters. The shooters are being described as snipers in elevated areas.
