We know we don't speak for everyone on this one, but isn't it a breath of fresh air when you come across a listing that looks...live in?!

One home after the next on Boise Zillow is a revolving door of sterile, fictional homes where every cushion is plumped to perfection and more staged than a five-star Broadway play. 

Not only do the kitchens look like they've never met a dirty dish or a splash of spaghetti sauce, the bathroom aesthetics suggest they wouldn't know a shart from a ghost $h!t. They're beautiful, but in an eerie, Stepford kind of way. Let's be honest, the majority of us don't live that way. 

We wanna see REAL real estate!

It doesn't matter if it's a starter home or an Eagle mansion going for a cool $1.7 million, we want to see more homes where real people can live like real people.

Give us the goods: kids' artwork on the fridge, a cozy pile throw blankets that were actually THROWN on the couch, unkempt man caves, master bedrooms with an armchair full of clothing in one corner and a collection of water bottles and pills on the nightstand...we're here for it.

On the rare occasion you come across a listing that checks off any of those boxes, it's like finding a unicorn in a sea of cookie-cutter Idaho home clones.

There's something about a few realistic touches that make it easier to picture yourself and your brood of feral children living there. You can see yourself cooking a family dinner in that kitchen that's been seasoned with love and a dash of culinary chaos. It's these quirks that give a home personality you won't find at IKEA or gracing the pages of Magnolia.

So, cheers to the listings like the one in the gallery below that showcase bits and pieces of everyday living. Some of us need a reminder that homes were made to be lived in. After all, no one ever said show home sweet show home, right?
