3 Idaho Animals You Can Milk and 13 Animals That You Shouldn’t
I'm just going to be straight up with you - I wish I could explain to you how my mind works but even I can't explain where the idea for this article came from. All I can tell you is that there are some animals you should milk... and there are some that you shouldn't.
What does Idaho law say?
Idaho legislature specifically names three animals when it comes to milk production. Most of us are familiar with cow milk and even goat milk has become more trendy these days. I won't spoil what the third animal is as we'll get to that in just a moment but what about the animals you shouldn't be milking?
Let's be clear - the following animals may have milk available that you can purchase. What we're discussing today is what animals should you avoid milking at all costs. This is for a few reasons:
- Safety: For example, you don't want to be tugging at the nipper of a grizzly bear with your human hands. It's safe to assume that the bear won't like it too much.
- Quantity: How much of that liquid gold do some of these creatures actually produce? Is it worth the risk?
- Taste: Call me crazy, closeminded, etc... I just don't see some of these animals producing tasty milk; the kind you'd want to fill your bowl of Lucky Charms with.
All of that being said, I'm not here to judge if you do or would enjoy the milk from any of the following critters. Let's go down the list...
