In the latest fuel price update from AAA, Idaho's average price for a gallon of regular gasoline stood at $3.11 on Monday. This represents an 11-cent increase from the previous week and a 19-cent rise from a month ago. However, it's still 52 cents cheaper than the same time last year.

On the national front, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is currently $3.26. This is two cents less than last week, 16 cents more than a month ago, and 11 cents cheaper than a year ago. Idaho has moved up one spot to 29th place for the most expensive fuel in the country.

A week ago, the gap between the Idaho and national averages was 28 cents, but today, it has narrowed to 15 cents. As the Gem State continues to thaw, the distance between the two averages could shrink even further this week.
