If you ask 100 Boisians how much they love living in Idaho's capitol, they're probably going to give you rave reviews.

We say probably, because not everyone is so hype on living in Boise in 2025. Don't believe us? Let's see what Reddit has to say.

Uh oh. What are people on Reddit saying about living in Boise?

Well, it's not all great things.

A Redditor asked if people who live in Boise, knowing what it's like to live there, would still choose it as their home. The answers were less than supportive:

Nope. I could move to a major city with similar home prices and much higher wages.

The advantages of being in this town have completely vanished.

No, I wouldn't. If I had actually had any idea what I wanted out of life when I moved here, I'd be somewhere with more public transit and pedestrian/cyclist infrastructure and fewer Christian Nationalists.

Now I'll be lucky if I can get out of here in the next few years. I've made friends, but those attachments aren't strong enough for me to want to risk gettng old here.

Moved here 11 years ago. The amount of Trump bullsh*t and conservative a**holes driving white dodge ram's with spaced wheels is terrible. It used to be a very keep to yourself, "Boise Kind" place. Not anymore.

Those comments are just the tip of the iceberg.
