Man That Provoked Meridian Manhunt Caught
This is who police were looking for during the huge manhunt yesterday in Meridian. You can sit back and take a sigh of relief.
36-year-old Travis Darrel Tennant was taken into custody last night at about 11 pm.
He was considered potentially armed and dangerous because he had access to a gun.
A little backstory on this guy; he stole a white pickup truck at about 11:30 at a business off of West Franklin Road. When the owner of the truck tried to stop the suspect he swerved and tried to hit him.
According to KTVB, when cops tried to pull the man over, he led them on a chase through a fence, across a golf course, and then to a field near Kuna Mora Road, not far from CS Beef Packers.
Multiple agencies got involved in this search, including the Idaho State Police and a SWAT team.
No word yet on what initially sparked him to steal the truck and lead cops on the chase.
