NBC didn’t waste time declaring its revived Will & Grace would return for a second season, raising the question of other must-see-TV series next in line. According to NBC brass, they’re next hoping for more 30 Rock and The Office, or perhaps even The West Wing.

Granted, TV revivals are in no way a sure bet at this point, as for every X-Files or Arrested Development renewal, there’s a Heroes Reborn or 24: Legacy. Still, with Will & Grace seemingly successful off the bat, Deadline asked NBC boss Bob Greenblatt about other series the network had considered reviving:

We often talk about The Office, I’ve talked to [producer Greg Daniels] four times over the past few years. It’s always, ‘maybe some day but not now.’ There is certainly an open invitation but we don’t have anything happening right now. If he wants to do it, I’d like to do it … I’d [also say to Tina Fey] ‘Hey, you think some more 30 Rock makes any sense?’ She’d say, I don’t know maybe.’

Fey still executive produces and stars in both Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Great News for NBCUniversal, and isn’t terribly removed from the network regardless. Greenblatt also expressed interest in reviving ER or The West Wing, even going so far as to broach the subject with Aaron Sorkin during A Few Good Men discussions. The NBC boss paraphrased Sorkin to relay “You know I love that show and some day I’d love to revisit it, but it’s not going to happen right now.”

If nothing else, Greenblatt confirms “If Tina called and said ‘I’d do 30 Rock,’ I’d do it in a heartbeat, even for a limited run. The same about The Office.” We’ve also a Miami Vice revival to look forward to, but what NBC show is most worthy of revisiting?
