. It had been all over the news for months, warnings of how slow the drivers license office was moving and that folks were having to take entire days off of work just to secure what they needed. I though that arriving at the office before it opened would be best but little did I know, everyone else in town had that very same idea. What should have taken minutes, ended up taking over 4-hours of my day.

Ada County has been working had to decrease these wait times and now, they're announcing a step that they hope will help everyone: the building of a brand new drivers license office for the county.

Currently, Ada County is only home to one office for licensing. Now, the Ada County Sheriff's Office will be adding more staff to that location and opening a second location, as well.

Officials want this to go along the Chinden Corridor but for sure, someplace in western Ada County to accommodate our growing population. Once they find a location, it will take 6 to 12 months to open for business. While it may be a bit down the road, I think we can all agree this is a major development that we can look forward to.
