Dogs Turn to Take a Dip in City Pools
Well, the kids are heading back to school and the end of the Summer is almost here. You know who IS excited about that? Your dog!! Because right around this time of year pools and parks in both Nampa and Boise invite the pups to have a little fun before they drain the pools for the season. So, if your puppers has been a good boy or a good girl, you might want to take them out for some fun.
Today (8/20) in Boise is the 10th Annual 'See, Spot, Splash' event at the Natatorium on Warm Springs Avenue. According to Boise Weekly, the event is sponsored by the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Idaho Humane Society. During the event tonight, there will be separate one-hour sessions to accommodate all the pups beginning at 3 p.m. with a 60 dog capacity per hour. Admission is FREE but donations are encouraged and will benefit local dog parks and the Idaho Humane Society. CLICK HERE to get all the rules and fill out a waiver for your doggie.
On Saturday, your dogs will have another chance to swim around with their buddies at Nampa Parks and Recreation's 'Pooch Party Stroll and Splash'. This event is $30 but includes an adult t-shirt, doggie gift, and admission for one dog for the stroll and splash ($10 for extra dogs).
