There's actually a restaurant in Idaho that has been on multiple national lists for having some of the best nachos in America, and that’s Power House in Hailey, Idaho — and it's actually a bike shop, too!
The only problem with Power House being the best nacho spot in Idaho (for us Boise locals) is that it’s about a 2 and a half hour drive away... so it makes much more sense to keep scrolling for a bunch of other options right here in Boise 👇
What makes the perfect plate of nachos?
According to Wikipedia, "Traditional nachos consist of the tortilla chips topped with cheese and jalapeños, as done by Anaya. The modern form of nachos has several possible ingredients with the most common toppings being cheese, guacamole, salsa, sour cream, jalapeños, olives, refried beans, ground beef, chicken, and sometimes lettuce."
To this day... I never would have guessed people would actually use chicken for their nachos — I thought it was always beef. Am I crazy? Personally, I prefer beef for my nachos.
Doesn’t that just make you want some nachos now?
