Navigating traffic in the Treasure Valley can be an exercise in patience, or rather, a test of how quickly your patience can wear thin. Despite the gorgeous weather (most of the time) and the beautiful scenery, the daily commute can feel anything but relaxing.

What used to be a breezy drive with views of the foothills now feels like a slow crawl through a never-ending line of brake lights, especially if you're stuck in rush hour traffic on the way or leaving work.

That frustration can set in the second your tires roll onto I-84. Traffic comes out of nowhere, with out-of-state cars flying everywhere and drivers forgetting how to use their blinkers.

It can be frustrating, especially if you've lived in the area so long and remember when it wasn't this bad.

Red lights seem longer, drivers get more aggressive, and every roundabout feels like a battleground. And let’s not even talk about the road construction that seems to pop up just when you think you’re finally making progress - Five Mile anyone?

Detours and lane closures only add to the chaos, testing your ability to stay calm in the face of mounting frustration.

So, what's the solution? It's quite simple and if you ask us, one of the most logical answers out there: entrust the law to locals even if they have no background in public policy.
