As people continue to move into the Treasure Valley, traffic will continue to get more congested and invoke more headaches.

Luckily for drivers in the Nampa area, the city is taking the necessary steps to alleviate that growth.

Another roundabout is on the way!

Love them or hate them, roundabouts keep things flowing on the roads - if people know how to use them which seems to be the biggest complaint. In some cases, some drivers seem to forget how lanes work and will treat roundabouts as "one big lane."

In other cases, we've seen drivers "hesitate" in the roundabout, causing confusion and hesitation in other drivers using the roundabout. One might argue that roundabouts could even become a source of road rage.

All of that being said, we like to believe the goal of a roundabout is to keep things moving and to keep everyone (mostly) happy.

The city of Nampa recently announced another roundabout is on the way and will be completed by the end of November. The new roundabout at N. Franklin and E. Karcher began construction on Tuesday, July 23.

So, what are drivers supposed to do in the meantime? According to the City of Nampa:

Drivers are encouraged to use Northside Boulevard during construction. Local access to residential property and businesses within the project location will be available throughout the project.

Look, we get it - an extended road closure is a headache but it needs to be done and it's better than adding in another traffic light, right? Surely, a roundabout is the best option.

What do you think?
