5 Times Inventive Idaho Companies Were Featured On ‘Shark Tank’

Shark Tank is one of my favorite shows on TV. It's one of those easy watches that you could get lost in all day. Like many people, I've had my fair share of invention ideas come and go, and it never turned into anything. Whether that be because I forgot, or it was simply a terrible idea.

For some want-to-be inventors in Idaho, however, it goes differently. Did you know several Idaho companies and inventors have appeared on the show? Some of them have even scored massive deals!

Idaho is known for its scenery, so it's no surprise that one of the companies we're going to be discussing is an outdoors company. Another, is a company created by a Boise mom. Then you have Boise Brothers with a creative and resourceful idea. An idea for the dancer and athlete in all of us. Then, we'll end with a company with an idea we can all relate to.

The Sharks all had varying reactions to these Idaho inventions. Some were impressive, others weren't worth their dollar. Let's dive in and meet the local Idaho companies who were fortunate enough to have their products appear on ABC's Shark Tank.

Are they going to walk away winners? Or will they walk out of there without a deal because they got a little too greedy and aggressive?

As you can tell from my ideas, I likely won't be appearing on Shark Tank any time soon. But, a man can dream.

Do you own any of these Idaho based products? I've seen the Proof Sunglasses around, and some of my friends have owned pairs. Rapid Rope also rings a bell, but I've never used it. Would definitely be handy, though!

While the hit show wasn't nominated for an Emmy Award this year, it was won Outstanding Structured Reality Program four times. Not bad at all!

Here are most of the nominations from the Emmy Awards this year. Noticeably missing Shark Tank. That wasn't the only snub, however. Keep an eye out for anything you'll notice is missing.

Bummer that it wasn't nominated. I always love watching Mark Cuban on the show. He'd be the one I'd want to invest in my company.
