Kuna’s ‘Fence & Lumber’ Pours Over 2,000 Gallons of Free Gas

In what turned out to be a chaotic afternoon for Meridian commuters and passers by, over 2,000 gallons of fuel were pumped for local drivers from all over the Treasure Valley, courtesy of Fence & Lumber, a new local business.

With all that is going on in the world, consumers here in the Treasure Valley are far from immune from economic and financial struggles. That of course means that local business, and local business owners are feeling it too.

While many local shops and restaurants have been forced to close over the last twelve months, one local business has been fortunate enough to expand in the Treasure Valley. While capturing the spirit of our community, they've done so in a big way: by making a splash and giving back.

On Friday, June 5th if you were driving around the area of Meridian Road during your afternoon commute, it probably took longer than normal.

Fence & Lumber, based in Backer City, Oregon and Weiser has now opened a premium cedar lumber liquidation location in Kuna, Idaho! Building suppliers and DIY'ers alike have grown accustomed to driving out to the 'further' locations for great deals and premium supplies--but now, a destination much closer exists.

How did Fence & Lumber say 'HELLO!'?

PUMPING FREE GAS.

The event began on Meridian Road & Victory at about 3:30 p.m. on Friday, June 5th, where owners and employees of Fence & Lumber pumped over 2,000 gallons of fuel for anyone patient enough to get in line, which spanned for miles.

It was an interactive and exciting way for the new business to meet community members, not far from their new location.

'Grateful', was a word used most often on social media by people that were able to fuel up for free. Despite a few online 'grumps' that didn't love the traffic going into their weekend, most people, even those that didn't get gas, chimed in online to say what Fence & Lumber put together was exciting and admirable.

Owners Curtis Batho and Paige Williams pumped the fuel, personally.

Expect even more from Fence & Lumber at their new Kuna location -- while another traffic jam isn't in the works ... for now.. there is going to be a grand opening party on June 20th--with details on the way--that will include major giveaways, food, and more!
