Red Air Quality Issued for the Treasure Valley
You can definitely see the haze just looking through the windows today. It does not look good in most places. According to KTVB, Boise schools will not have recess or P.E. today.
The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has issued a red air quality alert for the Treasure Valley due to the increase in regional wildfire smoke.
Red air quality is considered unhealthy and not safe to be outside and exposed to for long periods of time.
We are expected to be in the red and orange (unhealthy for sensitive groups with asthma) levels over the next few days.
Also, all open outdoor burning is prohibited in Ada County.
