The Iranians believe empowered by the Democrats here in my opinion uh the de the Iranians believe that the midterms the reluctance of Americans because we love and value life. We love and value uh you know everyone else we uh don't want to make we want to make sure that we are not hurting ourselves or endangering lives even enemy lives that we're reluctant to do what needs to be done. So therefore, they're going to be like that little annoying kid going na na na na. And that's what happened. So they're firing now the Arab states. And this is what I don't understand. You have a ton of money or as we called around the broadcast center, money. You have a ton of money. And if you have a ton of money, then why do you care about um Iran? Oh, that's right. You don't have a military because you didn't invest in the military because Daddy Sam, Uncle Sam, was there to protect you. Well, what happens when Uncle Sam isn't there to protect you? anymore. Now we have this situation very similar to what's going on in Europe. Uh we compete against these folks economically, but when it comes to their own defense, we're the ones defending them, which is pretty wild if you ask me. Iran is very much uh intent. They want very much to make a deal. So far, they haven't gotten there. We're not satisfied with it, but we will be. Perhaps complicating matters. This morning, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says it targeted a US air base in what Sentcom calls an egregious ceasefire violation and uh Sentcom says Iran launched a ballistic missile toward Kuwait that was successfully intercepted by Kuwaiti forces. Iran calls it retaliation after US forces shot down five Iranian one-way attack drones over the street of Hermuz. And there we have it. And there we have it. Jonathan Martin, what's going on with the president and his political base? Uh if you look at the president's global activity, uh I'll put it that way. Uh pulling away from NATO, not defending Ukraine, just that right there. Stop right there. Put uh put the quotes around that because that's a bigger story as it is. uh Venezuela, Iran, where one would argue that he's lost the plot on the street of Hormuz and actually made the situation worse. Now potentially Cuba, this is a wartime president in wars seemingly all of choice, his choice. Is this what his base and his team was campaigning and counting on? Uh, no, but the base is largely deferring to whatever Trump wants because the the project is personal, not policy oriented. I mean, Trump's Trump's political appeal has always been based upon a personal and cultural connection rather than any sort of set of an ideological project or an agenda. And so they they're for the Iran war, if he's for the Iran war. Now, there are challenges at the margins because there are some people who said, "No, no, I actually did believe when you said he didn't want to start foreign wars, right? But the bulk of his voters are just for him because they're against the left and he's a middle finger against the left." So, I I don't think he's going to lose his base. I think he's stronger than ever as we we've seen in the primaries, but it's it's just not what the the vast majority of the country signed up for, which is a series of wars of choice and obviously beating war drums in the Caribbean. now because well he's getting bored with season one of the Iran war and wants to change the channel to the Western Hemisphere and he wants to sort of enact regime change. I think the underlying theme here is he wants to be an historic consequential president. He's not interested in legislation. He's not going to sign bills. He doesn't even bother with Congress. So how can you do that? Well, you can do that by trying to reorder the map and using the US military to enact regime change around the world. And that's what I think he's trying to do. And I think a lot of this goes back guys to the Nobel Peace Prize in 2025. He spent so much time campaigning for the peace prize. He talked about ending those seven wars or was eight well I can't recall maybe or nine maybe so many times and he didn't get it and he finally realized there's a different way that I can be consequential. Yeah. the the the funny thing with the president is that you have all these people using the old political spectrum, if you will, about the political laws and to any other person they would apply, but not to this president. By the way, did you hear the president wants to put himself on the um they want to create a new bill, a $250 bill with the president on now? We'll see if that's fake news or not, but we'll um we'll take a look at that in a minute. Can you believe this? So, I don't want to alarm anybody, but could you see a day where instead of, you know, you could have your choice, you can be taught I I I suppose kind of like um homeschooling, but you can be taught by a computer programmer and a computer program, or you could uh be taught by humans and maybe you'll have to pay extra for humans like deliveries and such. But could you see a world where you're educated in front of a screen? Well, Kevin, you were you were raised on the Jeffersons, Sanford Sun, and Hogan's Heroes. Yeah, I was. And and that look what the result of it is. But think about how AI is changing things. and the pope talking that he's worried about, you know, the dangers of AI and the AI people going, "Ah, Pope, you're good. You're a good pope." But they don't do anything about it. They they don't sit back and say, "Well, what can we do about AI?" They um essentially just say it's going to be here and we don't know what it's going to be. But could you imagine? Well, I send my kids to school and yes, they're taught by humans. Uh where, you know, again, being taught by humans could be could be very optional. By the way, our thoughts and prayers, especially our prayers, go out to those folks impacted by that massive fire and mountain home. Um we had Double Secret give me an a call saying, "Hey, did anybody cover it?" And yeah, they did. It was really really a massive fire. People are without homes started by the wind. You know, we talk about how precious life is and the wind and this massive fire people were injured. So again, we have chip sealing season and we have the fire season, right? Um other local news that we're working on. This is interesting and I don't know if this is going to be the issue, but this could be the um and I don't know how the state is going to handle it. And that's dealing with undocumented folks, illegal immigrants and the like. And I can tell you this now that when we were hanging out at Miller's Mission, there was an uninvited visitor who was camped out next to the tent one morning. And I have to tell you, this Miller's mission was a challenging one. We went right into the headwinds. The summer spring mission is always a challenge. And then to to couple that, we uh were without the station for a day. We lost power. We apologize again for our incompetency and for not serving you correctly. And then we had someone who was camping out next to us that we had to wake up and I was going to my German rouse rouse rouse rouse. They didn't speak English and until it hits you as they say you don't understand the severity of it. So, we have people and seeing this firsthand, you have people. And then the last day, somebody came in and grabbed our electrical stuff, moved it over to a couple outlets, left it there, and grabbed my big poster with myself, Mr. Stud Baker, and Reverend Rosco, and I think they used it to keep warm. They were actually cuddling with us, not literally, but figuratively. And then they left it there as well. And this area has prided itself on making sure that homeless people are taken care of. But here you have someone and and this has always been a thing for me in my 31 years of doing this as a for a living and even before that. You can't have people being a part of a culture if they can't assimilate. And I know many people don't like to hear that, but there are a lot of tough things to do. Writing is tough for me. And writing right now, I'm I'm in the tank. I'm not where I should be, but you have to keep going. You can't just say I'm not going to do this. Well, you can. And the fact is that the liberal lefty loons have allowed people to not only come into the country, we pay them to come into the country. And please don't tell us it's a national problem because the guy that I saw next to my tent that didn't speak English that we had to wake up for 20 minutes." And I thought about I really thought about calling the police. What were they going to do? I guess they'd tell them to hit the road. But what happens if that's your home or your backyard or your front yard? We see that in the Northwest. And this is why we thank goodness that we have Republican uh governors. I was what was it? Laura Ingram last night talking about the mayor of Seattle. But just craziness. Um and here we have the situation here. An undocumented Idaho mother's partner. I I Well, can you say spouse? Can you say live in? Can you say whatever? I hate that word partner. My partner H was detained by immigration and opted to leave the country rather than fight after receiving fines of over a million dollars for staying in America years after a deportation order. The woman fearing separation from her kids is fighting for a stable life while caring for her partner's elderly mother. H okay. It's a tough one. Idaho immigrants have received fines for staying in the country after deportation orders, causing extreme fear and panic among the immigrant community. Well, if you're here illegally and you get a fine, shouldn't you have to pay the fine? I I love the editorialism causing extreme fear and panic. Then don't be here illegally. Well, that's overly simplification. The total fines totaling over $36 billion are part of a tactic to encourage illegal aliens to voluntarily deport or face consequences leading to concerns about widespread immigration enforcement. There's a nonprofit up in Cordelane area that give paychecks to first responders injured in the line of duty, including like your firefighters that come out uh that are volunteers. and they were going over that this weekend on the uh program up there from the Cordelane folks. And uh so I I'm going to make sure I get contact with them so they can call you on on your Tuesday situation for your nonprofits because they they have an very great program to help firefighters and other first responders injured or killed in the line of duty for the state of Idaho. Even though they were discussing situation where those firefighters that come in and fight fires that are not our [clears throat] local people, but the uh smoke jumpers, people like that, they get injured that they don't have to wait uh a long period of time to pay out when the families are in need. Maybe they got to travel for their firefighter or for a first responder that's been injured in Idaho. I I work on stuff that I try to be aware of current events and I I searched this morning like what are the top five stories in Idaho and one comes up from a ultimately a couple of days ago where like Jenny had said we have I think six officers injured in a fire because the wind took them over with losing homes. People are sheltering at the Elks Lodge. That's that's a pretty major news story. And then I'm realizing since we've broken away from the alphabet news, you know, ABC, NBC, CBS, there is no really one one source. News is a box of chocolates and you're going to get exactly what you want if you're looking for it. Well, and I'll say this. Uh, look, I I'll tell you, I I uh I've kind of unfortunately checked out for my mental health and the mental health of the show and your mental health. I don't watch the local news anymore. And I did flip it on and they were doing complete coverage at least a few stations and I should I'll commend them for that. Um, they did cover that uh as much as they could with their limited resources. So, I will say the TV people, they did cover that story. Uh, I'm trying to think. Um, you know, look, there are a lot of big issues. This is why you ran for office. And by the way, thank you for running for office. You exposed a lot of what the problems within the Republican party, sadly. But you know we you know on one hand we I call it living in the our uh culde-sac of comforts where we just kind of d and then we have fires which are an issue. We have schools that are an issue. We have chip sealing around the corner. That's an issue. But hey man, it's better than most places. So eat your porridge. Yeah. I mean, on the local news stuff, stuff stuff that impacts people every day, you know, you got to give truly the television news credit, whether you like their their um scant at it or not, when it comes to just real things happening, the the local television news does such a wonderful job. I think what it's leading me to think about is because I think about news politically because no matter what, politics is our future. whether you like it or not. And if you're just don't want to pay attention to it, you can ride your ATV. Thank you, Chris Koopus. It's going to be what it is. But if you do want to pay uh pay attention to it, it is such [clears throat] a box of chocolates that it's like you've got, you know, this person over here with their podcast that has 15,000 followers. You got this person over here on X that has 42,000 followers. And guess what? You go ask the next person right next door and you're like, "Have you ever heard of this person?" They're like, I have no idea who that person is. And they're all experts in their own channel. There's like 10 billion channels and Oh, welcome to the future. That's that's the future of things. Yeah. And where is Well, and then you look at Idaho. But you look at but you look at the old days and the old days were and like I said, I worry that one day television news is going to come out of Seattle. Um, and a lot of people that are critical of the NextStar Tegma merger argue the same thing. I don't know how that's going to play out, but you know, I I know how that plays out, Kevin. I've experienced it. I managed uh the sales department, the Idaho Wood River Journal. The Idaho Wood River Journal is one of those papers that was around since the 1880s and doing and wholly owned all the way up until, you know, the the early 2000s. And once it was purchased by the Liberty Publishing Group, they owned 125 newspapers across, you know, the board somewhere. the the integrity of the newspaper for the community itself was completely ruined to where there was one instance where a very very very well-known local business person known by everybody had this is it's hard news put a dress on and committed suicide at the local funeral home and the li and the news group was like get your reporter down there get photos and publish that now. And it's like, no, man. Like, this is this is a culture. This is a thing. This is something you don't do. And they force them to do it. And it you're right. It I'd be scared of of Seattle serving serving Idaho News, too, because they just culture matters in your local area and they don't understand who the players are and all they care about is the program. And uh it's a degradation of it all really. And and when it relates to politics and political news, you're going to get exactly what you want. There is no good source of of news. And you would think it would be at least your party news. And your party news is using some channel tactics that are uh we'll just say dirty. as far as the mechanisms that they use to to run people out of office office so they can be king and queen makers and not political. Well, they run you they run you they run you out of office and you weren't even in office. I I got to tell you, I'm really upset a lot, especially when I'm behind the wheel of a vehicle, my friend. Uh [laughter] so, are you dangerous? Are you uh dangerous driving, Dylan? Is that it? You know, I just don't like I'm Slow down, everybody. That's all I'm saying. Slow [snorts] down. Could Congress actually save college football? Let's take a listen from uh Jared Max of Fox News Radio on 580 KO talking about the Protect College Sports Act. H interesting. Congress could reshape college sports as we know it after months of negotiations. Republican Senator Ted Cruz and Democratic Senator Maria Canwell introduced the Protect College Sports Act Wednesday and attempt to guardrail a system many argue has become chaotic. Under this proposal, athletes would be limited to one free transfer to another school opposed to unlimited moves and eligibility would get capped at 5 years. Football coaches would be banned from jumping from one school to another mid-season. This act also targets a potential super league between the Big 10 and the SEC that would force games to get broadcast for free locally if the major conferences pull their media rights. In the last 6 years, over 40 college sports bills have been introduced in Congress. Not one has passed. Jared Max, Fox News. Yeah. And this sounds good. I think Ted Cruz from Texas is behind this. Yeah. I don't think the Texans are going to be happy limiting themselves and saying that they have to give away uh their lucrative rights. the the challenge in college sports is and Boise State and the new Pack 12, they're doing their very best and a lot of people have an interest in Boyise State athletics and I think again, not to too too delve too deeply into sports, but uh it's all become a business. You know, you have the basketball arena now people are getting booted out of their seats cuz they're remodeling it. They need they need a new uh re arena there, number one. Number two, um, the university doesn't have a president. Now, I know we live in Idaho and the top story is the fires and the chip ceiling and affordability and the lack of affordability and, you know, Micron coming in and being the world's most famous stock. But here's a university. What do they produce? 30 million, 50 million. I mean, they always have a press release talking about how much they they give us and how much uh, you know, a benefit economically the the university is. So, why haven't they hired a president yet? It didn't take this long to hire Marlene Trump. It didn't. And yet, it could all fall apart. could all fall apart because algorithms and as much as we like Amazon.com, algorithms don't run organizations. People do. People are the magic. Anybody who has a successful business, it's culture. Anyone who has a successful uh longevity in in anything, it's it's simply people treating people the right way. You know, we talk about our friends at Windoworld Boy, windoworld boy.com. They treat people the right way. It's it's amazing. Most corporations, ah, you're lucky if you got a job. Shut up, boy. And you have a lot of turnover. Sadly, you take a look at Boyise State. You've got this guy Jeremiah Dicki that's been there for a long time. New guy in town, doing his very best. uh has created a lot of buzz, has raised a lot of money. So much so, some of the donors say, "You know, Kevin, we're tired of giving them money all the time. I get it. You've got a coach that is beloved in the community, but that could all go away with one simple hire." And like I said, uh, we wrote about it and then people started ripping us on social media. But that's what the the the price you pay for being, uh, a truth teller, being provocative, and you know that this whole economic engine could go all go away if Kentucky, which is looking for an athletic director, decides that they want to go to um, Boise State and hire Mr. Dicki. Now, Mr. Dicki, who we have a lot of respect for, who has appeared on this program more than any other athletic director in the history, could decide to trade in one blue for another. Remember that guy that came from Kentucky that was the uh the ad for a song and a dance mark, whatever his name was, Dr. Kuster's guy after he got rid of our friend Gene Blamer. So here you have, by the way, 40 years of the blue, created by Gene Blamemire, ridiculed at first, but beloved around the world now. And you know, we covered that and that story is on our website. Maybe I'll repost it on social media. One of the more popular ones. But you know, the the interim president, he didn't get the job. So he vamoose to Montana. We lost somebody to Montana. And you look at organizations, consistency, great culture leads to success. Consistency, great culture. And sadly at the state's premier institution, at least in the Treasure Valley, that could all go away. Um, so here we have Congress jumping in and it really proves the point that Al was talking about that I actually exposed Al to a while ago and he goes, "Hey, we're socialist." I go, "No, we we are socialist." Um, sadly, you take a look at and I don't want to even talk about entitlements because we pay into that, but we are socialist. You take a look at all the the the booming businesses, the president actually buying a government stake in a business. If a Democrat had done that, people would be going crazy crazy. Rightfully so. You you can't just sit there and do those things. But we have become a socialist country. Uh I don't really like saying that. I don't like admitting that. But we have crazy. Uh even looks like Jeff Baso gave us the Heisman. So we will move on to another stunning revelation. If you caught CBS's This Morning last week, Sunday morning, they had an interview with Jill Biden and Jill Biden decided to come clean about Joe Biden. Let's take a listen to how they broke it down last night on CNN at 580 KO. A stunning admission from Jill Biden about her husband's debate performance. Take a listen. Were you horrified as you saw it unfold? I wasn't horrified. I was frightened because I had never ever seen Joe like that before or since. Never. Or since? Yes. Or since? Never seen him like No. Why happened? I don't know what happened. I mean, when I as I watched it, I thought, "Oh my god, he's having a stroke." And it scared me to death. That interview [clears throat] comes just weeks before the release of the former first lady's new memoir, and it's the first time that we've heard her express any concern about that debate that ultimately ended Joe Biden's 2024 campaign. But that stands in stark contrast to what Joe Biden had to say just moments after the debate. Joe, you did such a great job. You answered every question. He all the [cheering] And let me ask the crowd, what did Trump do? Even Joe Biden seems a little amused by that [laughter] that clip. Jamal, okay. Your instant reaction to to the Joe Biden. You know, we talked about this a little bit in the last segment. When you lie to people right to their face, they have a tendency to not trust you. And you know, a lot of people knew something was wrong with Joe Biden. I went to a dinner in Detroit in AAACP dinner. He was the guest speaker. His speech was great, but seeing him just make the walk to the stage, I was concerned. I was like, "Hey, this dude doesn't look right." Um, but I would say that especially now as we're looking at a president who often showcases that he is unwell, that we need to apply those same questions that a lot of people had then. People had the right to wonder about Joe Biden's health after seeing that debate and those questions were fair and they were legitimate. I think the problem is that now those same questions aren't being asked even though we're seeing things that are just as concerning if not worse. Peter, is that fair? Why the hell are they talking about this again? Why are you coming out with the same with K Jean Pierre? It's like do you want to relitigate this? Do you think she's got a book to sell? But like your book's not going to sell well, right? You need a political campaign to be buying up advanced copies to give to donors that you're spending 20 bucks on and the material costs are five, right? Like that's what I do not get. You're not going to win in the full sweep of history. I appreciate that we now get to see at least some. By the way, uh Peter Meyer was one of the people that voted to impeach Donald Trump. He's now on CNN, Republican, former Republican House member. Great hair, man. Red hair like a Viking. not a ginger, a Viking. So, we go to the Viking, not the ginger, and he breaks this down. And he's right. Why are they talking about this? And the more they talk about this, the more it seems that it we we go back to the media cover up. You know, Donald Trump, the president, he goes to the hospital, he angrily truths all over the night, but Donald Trump is still with us mentally. the fact that the media had no credibility when they go, "Well, Joe Biden, he's dude, look at Joe. He's the best ever." We all knew that Joe had to go. We all knew that Joe wasn't fit. And here here's the other one. They're saying, "Camala, come out. Come out. I wasn't prepared." Well, they didn't want her to be prepared because, you know, it's the old adage in talk radio. And I was a victim of this, but I understand the game. there was a market where I've always wanted to work. Would I leave Idaho to go work there? No, not at all. Uh I am here, I'm here, I'm here. But it's always good to to go to a different place to to get your skills up. And I found that the more I focus in on helping my friends in other markets, it actually makes me better here. So, I did a couple fill-in shows. Went really well. listeners loved it, but the people there, I was a little too good. So therefore, eh, as a vice president, you want somebody like Dick Cheney. You want somebody who they they don't really want to um they don't really want someone who's going to be a charismatic person. They don't want someone who is going to ste be a show stealer. That was what people said about Josh uh Shapiro. that he was a little too ambitious, a little too overly ambitious when it came to dealing with um being the vice president. Why did Reagan not pick Gerald Ford in 1980? Because Ford, the former president, pitched a co-presidency. So if I'm Ronald Wilson Reagan, why do I want to share the limelight with somebody else? And the Biden team looked at Camela Camella Camella and they said, "We don't really want to share the limelight with anyone else. We don't want someone too prepared." Think about that. Also, uh, just for your listening purposes, this is what the Democratic Party in Texas is about. And don't be fooled, they could be coming to Idaho. For me, prophetic voices like Jesus have helped me reckon with my own whiteness, my own masculinity, my own certainty, my own ego. It's a neverending process and it's a painful process. By the way, uh you know, on one hand, you hear James Tel Rico or James Telico saying these things and then you think to yourself, "Wow, that's pretty wild. Wow." Um and then you all of a sudden you hear a hip-hop track underneath it where they talk about all these nasty things that you can't say on the radio. But anyway, back to Joe Biden and the cover up that ensued. It was one of the greatest tragedies and travesties in our political life. And then people on CNN are saying, well, you know, why are they talking about it? They should talk about it. They should expose it of a truth that she's putting out there. Because I think, yeah, the conversation should be had about the deceptiveness that was behind this. Like that's the conversation that I think ought to be had. The autopsy that the Democrats did didn't delve into that and it but but it should. What kind of political system covers that up? Mhm. and makes it okay to lie to people about what everybody knows is true. Well, what I'm concerned about, the thing I'm wondering is what the next question in that interview is because it ought to be, so why did you lie at the time? And I'm not certain that that's what's going to be asked. If I if I could wager about this on Poly Market, I probably wouldn't bet in favor of that question being asked, which I think is an indictment of our industry, the the people who are asking these questions. I actually think there's a heck of a lot of critical inquiry about the Trump administration today amongst the media elites. The the challenge, however, apart from Alex Thompson and Jake Tapper, um um as they document in their book, there weren't a lot of people asking those sober questions early on about Joe Biden, which is why we didn't I have to say I have to say the real the beginning, the Wall Street Journal wrote a story about Joe Biden's health that was attacked relentlessly by the Biden White House. That was before the book. That was before all of this postpartum stuff. It was happening in real time. Yeah. And the Wall Street Journal was ripped repeatedly for this. And then we had someone who was injured who who people keep texting me all the time, so sorry about that. um who actually lost the use of his legs and they were at Fort Hood in Texas. And so I had to negotiate with uh the army. [laughter] There's a difference between dealing with the army and dealing with a civilian hospital. You think you have paper or paperwork and and red tape dealing with the local hospitals. Imagine uh dealing with the army and dealing with uh [laughter] with trying to get into a military facility. And probably one of the only things I regret is I didn't get to go to the Alamo because I had to do some some um some interviews with the unit that I was there covering at Fort Hood. And Fort Hood was anybody that's been to Fort Hood is not a nice place. But I can remember and it's weird because this show has always been about the spoken word. There are some videos about this, but it's really the videos bring back what you all have been a part of where you had neighbors and I believe this veteran lives in North Idaho, but very young guy uh was injured in Afghanistan, almost died, lost use of his legs. Home Depot and others built him a house. And those of you that have been in a bad accident or maybe military training or been injured in the war, rehabilitation is not just, you know, going to physical therapy. It's a long drawn out process. So, he had been away from his family for quite some time and I I can remember going down there and interviewing him and it was just such a powerful scene. So, if you get a chance to take a look at those things and and like I said, in the age of the the clicks and the dips and the daps, as Dylan was talking about last hour, the longevity and the purpose and the community, it's not just something you say and then you move on to Seattle or Portland. It's something that you live. And, you know, this ties into Don Nelson retiring from channel 6. I've never met Nelly. Um, but he a guy that started here in 1994. Um, you know, seen a lot of change. Now he's retiring. And as I said before, the blessing of having people like him, D Sartin, Larry Gbert, is they actually lived in the community. They covered. There was no transit. you when you have skin in the game. And this market is still to a degree, small enough that you actually meet the people you cover and you talk about, it's easier in a bigger market because you can say whatever you want. You're not going to see these folks. But again, the value of community and that's what we try to instill day in and day out. So if you get a chance, check that out. He got hundreds of thousands, millions of dollars for securing one man for taking care of one elderly man. He was a service. He got paid millions of dollars for taking care of one man. Total crook. They're all crooks. The Somalians are what they've done to Minnesota. The Somalians, they're crooked as hell. Eli Omar crooked as hell. They're all crooks. And we got them. We got them. Now we're putting the clamps on. But boy, I tell that's an impressive group of guys that you have behind you. I was watching that and couple of very strong women, too. When I was watching that last night, I said, "I'm proud of you guys." There we have it. Uh, in summary, the president looking over the Minnesota fraud. And this is where you have a challenge with the media. And again, maybe we're we're harsh on them, but why isn't this a story? Yes, the president going after or the department of justice going after his accuser uh Jean Carol people have denounced it. They went wallto-wall. They went wallto-wall on that on CNN last night and so much so I had to turn off the wrestling show to to watch this. It was fascinating to see. But what h but again tell me what's more important that or the fraud in Minneapolis? that or what's happening in Iran that or uh the idea that we need to balance the budget that or the the cost of gas and here's another one and we have a lot of inventors remember years ago we used to have this guy on he would uh talk to us and he would say that he had like a solution to the energy crisis and all sorts of things which was very unique but he he would call in and he would just give us this this goofy analysis But why aren't we figuring out a way to do more with less with oil, which we have with the president? And and I know we're going to have Tea Party Bob come up and defend oil companies. We're going to have we had Al last hour defending oil companies. And perhaps populism is my my first language. But why do we accept these things? Well, it's the big money cartel. Yeah, I've seen the movie Tucker. I get that. But why haven't we figured this out where we should just be energy independent and whether the oil prices go up around the world, it shouldn't impact us? Didn't we learn this during co to be more self-sufficient? Wasn't that what was supposed to happen when Tucker Carlson, the only guy that revealed this when he was sane, revealed that that um that our prescription drugs come from China and come from India? We can do better than that, Idaho. And we have the strongest military anywhere in the world, as you know. You saw what we did with uh Venezuela. That worked out very quickly. And we we're doing really equally as well with uh but again, people don't want to write about it with Iran. Iran is very much uh intent. They want very much to make a deal. So far, they haven't gotten there. We're not satisfied with it. And we will be we will be either that or we'll have to just finish the job. But uh the Navy is gone. As I've said a thousand times, the Navy is gone. Their air force is gone. Everything's gone. And they're negotiating on fumes. But we'll see what happens. Maybe we have to go back and finish it. Maybe we don't. Right now, I mean, you can speak to Steve Whit and Jared. They're doing a good job. But right now, I think uh it looks like they want to just make a deal. They want to they they have I don't think they have a choice. They're just going back to the internet because they're getting clobbered. Their economy is uh in freef fall. They have 250% inflation. Their money has no value. Their whole uh economic system is broken down. They thought they were going to outweight me. You know, we'll outweigh him. He's got the midterms. I don't care about the midterms. So, I don't care about the midterms. What happened last night? That was the prelude to the midterms. We wanted to make sure that that we balance the budget and we can get close to balancing the budget if we stop wasting money on some of these issues. Do want to share another issue with you. Um we hope and pray that our law enforcement officers who were injured responding to that mountain home fire are okay. Thank you to everyone who is involved in protecting us from these mountain fires and these wildfires. And as I said before, it is way too soon to be in fire season. Think about this. This Idaho State Police say several law enforcement officers were responding to multiple structural fires in the area during the air around Airbase Road in Southwest Flyby Avenue in Elmore County were hurt a couple of days ago. By the way, this is uh amazing when you think about this. I Airbase Road and Southwest Flyby Avenue has to be Mountain Home. But uh you know what happened? A brush fire broke out. They had a local disaster was declared. Emergency evacuations were underway and it it gets very very scary and it's only May. I wish we could figure something out. I wish we could tap into the Chinese technology and make it rain more or make it snow more or not even the Chinese uh technology. Our technology if you will, right? Our technology. Why not? Wouldn't that be uh wonderful if we could figure this out and solve the uh wildfire issue? And I guess that's nonpartisan. Of course, you could debate it at 5805436580 KO. You could really debate it and say, "Well, uh the reason why we have these fires is because we don't manage the land. We're not allowed to manage the land." the only president who has actually figured that one out. They ran him out of office and then he ran himself back in. Right. And then we have on the other end of the spectrum, we have Senator Mike Lee, one of the most conservative folks in America, saying that we should sell off the public lands. And then what happened? But you know to to pump up the fire departments. You have local fire departments saying they need more money. They need more this. They need more that. And with the population growing. Yes. You do all of these other things, you should have to um have to take care of that. So, what where is the budgetary shortfall coming from? Is it simply a matter that Joe Biden cut off or the Joe Biden bucks were cut off by Donald Trump and now we're in a deficit? We're still dealing with fires and now you have a lot of people that spend a lot of money and then they have the fire protection systems and everything else and sometimes it just doesn't work. I I believe that we're better than that, don't you? Um, in the what were they thinking department, you're going to love this one. CIA official was reportedly arrested by the FBI last week after investigators [music] found 40 million worth of gold bars in his house in Virginia. Over 300 bars were found in the home as well as about 2 million in cash and 35 Rolexes. [music] The suspect apparently said he needed the stash of gold for work related expenses. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says it targeted a US air base in what Sentcom calls an egregious ceasefire violation. Ceasefire uh violation and uh Sentcom says Iran launched a ballistic missile toward Kuwait that was successfully intercepted by Kuwaiti forces. Iran calls it retaliation after US forces shot down five Iranian one-way attack drones over the street of Hermuz. The US says it also hit an Iranian ground control station in Bonder Abbis before it could launch a sixth drone. Both nations are warning of more aggressive action if necessary. President Trump is threatening Iran and Oman if they strike a deal to control the street of Hermuz as well. And he's So let's break this down for a minute. Let's break this down. Omar Oman and somebody else. Can we go back to that for a second before the breakdown? breakdown. President Trump is threatening Iran and Oman if they strike a deal to control the So Oman is an ally of ours. Oman, what's up, Omani? Yo, Oman. Oman, they want to cut a deal. And remember what we talked about how the Arab states are all together? Well, it looks like the Arab states are not all together. Now, how does that impact us here here in Idaho, a story that and I think what we'll do, this is a preview of what you're going to see on our website, is cutar Idaho. Straight of her moose as well and he's brushing off concerns that he's facing political pressure from the midterms maintaining Iran can't have a nuclear weapon. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says they'll see if they can make progress in the coming days. Now, the president's preference, Mr. President, your preference has told us repeatedly as always to negotiate these things and to figure out if you can have agreements. Diplomacy is always the first option and we continue to work on that to your envoys, Mr. Woodoff and and Kushner and others, the vice president who've been very involved. And if we we there's an agreement to be made, we want that to be made. And regarding Iran's stockpile of highlyenriched uranium, the president says he's not comfortable with Russia or China taking it. Orange and Brian. Uh, thanks so much, Maddie. Appreciate it. The US military said Thursday that Iran launched a ballistic missile towards Kuwait, further straining the already weakened ceasefire. Can we kill the ceasefire right now? Central Command, by the way, which oversees American military operations in the least, wrote on a social media post that Kuwait shot it down. And then Central Command and regional partners remain vigilant and measured as we continue to defend our forces and interest from the unjustified Iranian aggression. What's at stake here, though, is whether or not these folks, the Arab states, are going to cut and run from us. Are they going to say, "Ah, sorry, America. We don't need you. Uh, you're going to cut and run from us, so we're going to cut and run from you." Which Oman Omar seems to be looking at doing. Not Omar, but Oman. And the president said, "That ain't going to happen." [clears throat] So, what's it going to take? I think it's going to take a lot more pain. I don't like pain. You don't like pain. No one likes pain. But the Iranians, because they've had almost 50 years of basically uh doing whatever they want with no ramifications, no repercussions, remember we treat people or we allow people to treat us because we tolerate it. We have allowed this behavior. The world has allowed this behavior because they thought that Iran could be a theocracy version of South Korea. That's not the case. That it's not the case at all. The Iranians, unlike the South Koreans, or I'm sorry, the North Koreans. Whoops, Friday didn't slip. Unlike the North Koreans, they have designs to destroy Western civilization, Israel, the Arab states. They don't care. They're a fool with a cause, to quote Gisham. And what they're doing is they're probing what can be allowed, what can't be allowed, because that's what they've been taught over the years through American inaction, through American enabling, and through everybody else being afraid of them. And what's it going to take? Um, well, when they watch our news reports and they say, "H, no big deal. Um, America will not be able to to do this. Uh, America will not be able to withstand it." They're crying about high gas prices. Imagine if gosh forbid something like that what what happens over there happened over here. Now Scott Bent has said that the Iranian econ economy is in a freef fall and we're going to start targeting Iranian airlines next. What does that mean? Could this be the differencemaker? We don't want to be the truth detector, but we will be. We have one watchdog. His name is Mark from Eagle. Um their troops are not getting paid. The police are not reporting for work and Car Island is shut down. The Iranian economy and his currency are in freef fall. Mr. Bent said on social media, "What did we do before social media?" And we have SenCom communicating on social media. The Treasury Secretary communicating on social media. Wow. Car Island. That's that's a big one. The president imposed a blockade of Iran to squeeze the Islamic Republic's e uh economic lifeblood and bring the regime to the negotiating table. It is also a response to TA's decision to block maritime traffic in the street of Hermoose. So really it comes down to who is going to crack first? uh the US led by the media and and then again we have our oil experts uh Al and Tea Party Bob saying it's going to take forever to get this the market going and that's what everybody says. I don't understand it. I don't understand it. All the oil that has been bought was bought when it was ridiculously cheaper and yet as soon as there's a hiccup or a Greg Ferrer uhoh, what happens? prices shoot up. Now, when there's relief, the only thing that shoots up is the stock market. So, back to this. Iran's Persian Gulf Strait Authority is a joke. And today, Treasury has sanctioned it. Mr. Pette said on X, "We have warned any corporate or state entities against paying tolls or hiding them as aid payments." Mr. % said moving forward, the US will shut down Iranian airlines and their access to landing spots, refueling, and ticket sales. Well, why aren't we doing that now? You know, if this is truly the end game, and we don't want to be accused of war crimes by our own media, then what we need to do is simply do what? Make them feel more and more of the economic pain. Remember, early strikes killed top Iranian leaders and decimated the Islamic Republic's military. Both sides entered a ceasefire in early April to allow space for peace talks. Though, as we know here at 580 KO, it has been difficult for sides to reach a pact that satisfies no nukes for the Iranians. So, we're going to see. Again, I don't see how this ends without the pain, the pain brought to the Iranian people. And really, can we turn our backs on them? Can we really turn our backs on them when we've said we're going to uh do our very best to liberate them? Now, coming up, we're going to talk a little bit about the loss of privacy. Uh in 2021 uh in a speech during debate over transgender issues, you said God is non-binary. What did you mean by that? Well, you know, I think um I was being intentionally provocative with that statement, but what it means is that God can't be defined by human categories. The Apostle Paul in his letter to the Galatians says that in Christ there is neither male nor female. Uh I'm always going to stand up for Texans who are being picked on by the most powerful, most corrupt politicians in the country and I'm going to continue doing that um in this race and hopefully in the US Senate. You call it intentionally provocative. Do you regret describing it that way or talking about God that way? Uh I there are some statements that I've made that I that I certainly regret. There are statements that I've made where I've missed the mark. I'll be the first to admit that. Yeah. So, again, the CBS guy's microphone is great. His isn't. Uh the idea that he's saying God is non-binary. There are six genders. All sorts of things. Hm. I love this one. Here's the quote. Modern science acknowledges six biological variations based on chromosomes to argue that sex is a nuanced spectrum. And then O'Keefe asked him, "Hey man, do you believe there are six biological sexes?" Now remember, this is not New York. This is not Massachusetts. It's not parts of California. It's Texas. Quote, "I know there are two sexes, men and women. I know there's also a very small percentage of people who are chromosonal abnormalies, and I believe they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect." Huh. you go from six to two to four to three to one. That'll be an interesting race to watch because he reminds me so much of Obama. Very, very smooth. And again, I don't know if some people are just they don't care about God, but when you start going after God, maybe you have a different belief system. I just kind of think that, you know, you you need to really take a look at what you're doing and the ramifications of blasphemy. All right, that's a heavy load. Al Green out in a Democratic primary. Well, who would have thought? All right, before we get to the nanny state spying on us, the hottest politician in America is not a Republican, not a Democrat. He's a former reality star named Spencer Pratt. Side of the country is because all I focus on is the truth. I'm the look around candidate. I do basics. I don't do national politics. I don't do parties. I just say, "Look, they're stealing all of our tax money to give it to drug addicts to have needles and tourniquets. And they're actually even selling the drugs to these addicts to let these people die on our sidewalks. I want to be the compassionate one. Get these people mandatory treatment, medical treatment with doctors to help them get off of fentanyl and super meth. And that is what people actually want in LA. As much as everybody wanted to believe the people that have been in charge, my opponents combined are at almost 10 years of their experience, they are failures. And so people want an outsider that's not a politician that's just saying the facts, the truth. These people have failed us. They've spent all of our tax money to increase problems. And I keep it basic. And again, I never wanted to be the mayor. I just wanted somebody to tell the truth. And by telling the truth, now the people are behind me. and I will continue to speak the truth on behalf of Los Angeles for as far as they want to push me. Yes. Now, again, he uh he has some money behind him. This is just not all grassroots. In fact, remember the guy that ran for Congress, got rid of um one of the most famous guys in Congress. He was a college professor but went around just getting on the back of his pickup truck. the big money. Some big money has to be going to Spencer Pratt, but he speaks the the language of the people. He speaks the language of people that are are just sick and tired of being sick and tired. Now, if he does win, I don't know if he can change things, but it it sure does sound refreshing. Okay, there have been some recent additions locally that police departments have sent out press releases on. We haven't really gotten into it, but let's do that now. I believe every local police department, and we love the police. Every local police department uh has drones and has these cameras. Now, we didn't really vote on the cameras, and they tell us that they don't use the cameras to watch us, only when there's an emergency. But there was no vote for the people. There was no vote for anything. In fact, I remember talking to the the the chief in Caldwell. We were joking about it. He goes, "You got to come see my drones." They go, "Oh, I'll see your drones." There are two sides to the story. You know, nobody wants to live in Minority Report, but when a kid is missing, when someone is on the loose, we sure do like those cameras. We sure do like those drones. So, really, what's the balance? Let's take a look at this from the Washington Times. Some recent legal challenges to the Department of Homeland Security's surveillance of Americans have revealed truly terrifying behavior by our government in direct defiance of the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution. We know that the federal government spies on innocent Americans without suspicion and without warrants. Now, we've debated this for years when Obama went after James Rosen. you know, you really want to stay out of trouble. You just kind of accept things. And I think sadly that's where a lot of us are going. What was what was it? Uh this primary was lower than the one four years ago. I was listening to the the Victor Miller and Tom Luna radio show and they had I think the the Ada County elections guy on and he was talking about how low the voter turnout was in Ada County. Well, what what do you get them blamed? People want moved to Idaho to get a life. They didn't move to Idaho to be involved politically. And those people that move to Idaho to be involved politically, you got to go, okay, we we sure great, but there are again issues that should be bipartisan, like what's the deal with all the cameras around? The spying seems to fall into sever several categories. The NSA, which is one of the Department of Defense's acolytes, employs 60,000 domestic spies. These are folks who want us to believe they go through the trouble of making applications to get FISA courts for warrants to spy on foreigners. Actually, from time to time, they do go to this court, but their travels there, where judges are frisked upon entering and leaving the courthouse by NSA agents who appear before them serve as a fig leaf for their massive warrantless spying on Americans. The FISA court is unconstitutional because it issues warrants based on probable cause to communicate with a foreign person rather than probable cause of a crime as the fourth amendment requires. The courts have consistently ruled that the 1960s since the 60s that spying surveillance as the feds call it is a search and the capture of data from surveillance is seizure. And we'll get back to the Fourth Amendment. We'll get back to whether or not the Fourth Amendment actually exists in America today. But the courts again are standing by the fourth amendment now at 5805436580 ko. Are you down with the cameras? Are you down with the drones? The fourth amendment protects all persons in America, not just Americans. What do they protect us from? From warrantless searches and seizures of their persons, houses, papers, and effects. There are some well-recoognized exceptions to this constitutional baseline, such as evidence that will quickly vanish or be seriously degraded. But those exceptions do not apply here, as the NSA captures in real time all keystrokes on all digital devices and all fiber optic transmissions into and out of within the United States. So, you get on the wrong side of these people and guess what happens next? I'll tell you what happens next. They could throw you in court. They can put hit you with the litigation. Nobody likes to be litigated. And then how it applies locally. And I never want to ever ever ever be accused of imputing the integrity of any police officer. But they've got cameras. They can watch the cameras. They can see who's doing what. There has to be a temptation. Now again, we don't really have the Southern Poverty Law Center here. We don't have the ACLU. They only sue ICE. But isn't that a legitimate thought process when you're at the corner of the Boulevard or Carter or Midland or 10M and you see the cameras? Is there a presumption of innocence? Well, Kevin, you're making an allegation. Am I how much spying really goes on? Now, you don't have to be a liberal lw defense attorney to wonder, you know, safety versus privacy. We could argue this back to the the Patriot Act, right? Something to think about. Also, you ever remember this this old thing? You can Google this and you can watch. And by the way, I I think we've reached the age where we're grandparents now, either happily or sadly. But kids, this is something that your grandparents would watch, not on regular television, but on this thing called UHF, and it was a show called Space 1999. I can remember being a little kid and thinking 1999 is never going to come. Now, it it was years ago. So anyway, what happened was that the moon broke away from the earth and there was a base on the moon called Moon Base Alpha and this was the post Star Wars entertainment industry. You had Battlestar Galactica, the original, not the remake, and [snorts] then you had Space 1999. and they were hot for a while, but again, everything fades sadly. Unless you're Bob Seager and the Silver Bullet Band. I digress. This coming out of our friend Bill Girtz from the Washington Times on 580 KIDO. Space Force must plan to deploy troops on orbiting space stations and bases on the moon to prevent the Chinese from winning the new space race and controlling outer space according to a report from an aerospace think tank. Girtz is great. We have Bill Girtz on. We've had him on. And by the way, I blew that what I called the Washington Free Beacon the Washington free bacon. That's why I'm in Idaho. No big time here. Anyway, bacon, beacon, it all look the same to me. And again, when you have hunger pains in the morning, it influences your pronunciation. Uh, the report by the Mitchell Institute for Aerial Space Studies warns that a sustained human military presence in space is needed to counter China's growing space efforts that are run by the PLA, otherwise known as the People Liberation Army, including p plans for a moon base in 2030. Now, you have to really wonder, this isn't space 1999. It's not moon base alpha. How healthy is it for people to actually be living in space? It does stuff to your cardiovascular system. It messes with your bone structure because there's no gravity, so the bones aren't as hard. They're brittle when they come back. China is poised to achieve uh positional advantage in setting norm standards and legal frameworks for lunar habitation and lunar economy states this report made public a couple weeks ago. Military troop deployments in space are needed to defend American interest. So, you know, people talk about Antarctica, people talk about um space. Another record 80 million in expenditures outside the campaigns pouring into the race double 2018. A lot is supporting the perceived establishment candidate Javier Bisera. There we have it. Iran launched drones toward a commercial vessel attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Sentcom says at least five one-way attack drones were launched toward the vessel and intercepted. We know that a strike was also conducted against a control station that was about to launch a sixth drone. In response, the Iranians launched a drone and ballistic missile attack against Kuwait, targeting a US base there. According to Iran's IRGC, the Kuwaitis confirmed an attack on their territory. Sentcom released a statement saying, "US Central Command and regional partners remain vigilant and measured as we continue to defend our forces and interest from unjustified Iranian aggression." All right, there we have it. The hardworking Trey Inst. So, a couple things we're talking about, uh, how comfortable we are locally with cameras when we're talking about the Fourth Amendment. Apparently, there's no right to privacy anymore. And whether or not we're taking a look at um the Space Force. Think about that for a moment. The Space Force. So, this new report coming out, Space Force urged to deploy troops on the moon to prevent China from gaining an edge in space. Okay, we understand that. Um, now they're saying perhaps using unmanned drones for military operations or limiting space presence to civil civilians under direction of NASA poses a national security risk based on China's current designs on space. So uh, you know, the president goes and visits the Chinese. We're supposed to be buddies with the Chinese. And remember, this is independent of our military. This report comes out says the Chinese want to take over space, the final frontier. And if China does this, it's going to be bad for us. Well, we don't want anything to be bad for us. But I I think about this for a moment and I'm going, "Wow, that's that's that's amazing that here we are having to defend space, if you will. Think about this. Why do people care about space?" According to this report, a human military presence is imperative because of the growing likelihood of a highstakes competition for control of lunar access and resources. China's own aggressive desk uh disposition on Earth and space and the militarization of their human space flight programs make it clear that Guardians under the purview of the US Space Force. I thought those were people that were the Coast Guard people. Weren't they? The Coast Guard people. The Guardians. uh just asking must seek to understand and cultivate its own spaceflight operations according to the report said noting Beijing's history of belligerent maritime and territorial assertions. So we could actually see like Star Wars or Space 1999 or Battlestar Galactica or Dune or whatever your favorite sci-fi thing is in space with the potential of in-person lunar conflict with China as the contextual touchstone. I love that word, contextual touchstone. Folks, use that today even if you don't know what it means. The US must begin a pragmatic multi-deade effort leveraging its space text course as well as partnerships with NASA and da da da da. So now we're going into space, if you will. Uh China's plans for a moon space station could violate the 1960. You think we have problems? We're going to violate this. The Outer Space Treaty, which was passed in 1967, run by the PLA because of the treaty prohibits claims of lunar sovereignty and militarizing the moon. H. So, we're not going to go to war with China over Taiwan, but possibly space. The report says America should seek to uphold the treaty but pragmatically prepare for a US military base on the moon despite the pact. Now, like I said, going to the moon, that sounds cool, but if you're claustrophobic, that can't be fun. If you're uh worried about your health, that can't be fun. I mean, that isn't that the benefit of you go to a you know, and again, you're probably more of a computer schmooter person than I am or a computer schmooter person than I am. So remember you used to go to a place like a fancy place like with the golden arches or the king and you go in and sometimes the norm would be people would greet you and they would be friendly. They'd be happy that you were there because that means that the place stays open, they make money and they have a job. Today they don't want to work, whatever. So, you go in and you're greeted with a kiosk and the AI and if you go to Wendy's or I think some Taco Bells that you'll hear the the the android and the Android will talk to you and Wendy's and and we covered this on our website, but the Android and everything else they're they're there. They're they're monitoring. They're doing all sorts of things. And what they're doing is replacing humans with AI. And one of the great things about AI is you can't tax AI, or can you? In an opinion piece for Time, Senator Elizabeth Warren says attacks on AI companies would be part of rethinking the tax code and would start with AI data centers. She says taxing AI is a win-win and that an excise tax on the energy used by data centers would help communities quote recoup some of the gains of AI while America continues to stay competitive in the AI race. Warren says the larger a data center is, the more in taxes it would pay. She also advocates for closing what she called corporate loopholes. She says the current tax system incentivizes replacing workers with AI, explaining that companies pay payroll taxes for workers but get tax breaks for investing in tech. Yeah, thank you Tanya J. Powers. So now we're going to tax computers. Hurts to be a capitalist. Thank goodness we are all in a socialist country in America. Uh and we've talked a little bit about that before, but uh truly taxing computers, what won't they tax? Tax me, tax you? Uh tax this, tax that? Um I don't know. H uh also some troubling alerts. Let's take a look at some things economically. Uh 1 million new car buyers are gone and they say they won't be back soon. This is from the Wall Street Journal and this is from uh Ford, GM, and uh Toyota. Apparently, the US auto industry uh faces sobering new math. Some 1 million prospective buyers have defected from new car markets since the start of the decade, and they are not expected to be back soon. Well, with all due respect, maybe some of them should should uh lower their prices. Until recently, auto executives, analysts, and economists believe that US new car sales were on a steady climb back to volumes last seen before the pandemic closed factories and scrambled global supply chains. Apparently, that's no longer the case. General Motors, Ford, and Toyota, and other automakers have said they are planning for sales of new cars to shrink or stagnate this year after consumers stung by persistent inflation, rising fuel cost, uh, we forgot to throw in the tariffs, and high interest rates are bulking at prices that have risen to around $50,000 on average. I I mean, you look at the BTGs or the BT I guess they're both BTGs. Big truck guys, big truck girls. That's a Kevin Miller original, by the way. BTGs. Big truck girls, big truck guys. You buy a new truck and it's what? 100 grand. That's the price of like a house or half a house or a third of a house for something that is impressive, that is manly for both men and women, but not only manly for men and women, the BTGS, if you will, but it's not very fuel efficient. And of course, you have to do the Idaho the Idaho backwards thing where wherever you go, people park backwards. I was at a facility called uh a health enthusiast studio yesterday, the gym. There was a guy in a little eh and I felt very superior cuz I was high up in my Forester and it was a sports car, but he backed up. But you have to become an expert in driving backward with these massive trucks. Nothing against the massive trucks, but the BTGs, the big truck guys, the big truck gals, that's a lot of money. So people are are feeling the pain, you know, for let's say a car these days. 50 grand with the tariffs, with the interest rates, with the fuel costs and everything else. So, how many cars are Americans buying? Well, Americans were buying around 17 million cars before 2020. Industry analysts don't expect that market to return to that level until the end of the decade or later. They now forecast total annual sales of about 16 million vehicles or fewer this year. And the outlook has grown even dimmer as the conflict with the Iranians keep the gas prices high. Now, what is the threat? Apparently, this war is a threat to the entire car industry. And this is a guy from Volvo saying it's proof point of something more fundamental, which is what is wrong in the general economy that people are not able to buy new cars. [snorts] Think about this for a moment. While around one quarter of the models in America go for 25 to 35, an even bigger share tops $55,000 according to data from the car shopping website Edmonds. Ed executives at the world's biggest automaker say they recognize that new cars are out of reach for more Americans. Now, here's the idea. Why don't you build more affordable models? Why don't you don't gouge us when it comes to cars? Wouldn't that be great? Wouldn't that be exciting? And this is the danger of the BYD cars from China because they don't care. They don't care about making money or making profits. They're like, "Well, pick your favorite big corporation, not on steroids, but on human growth hormone." Hm. [clears throat] selling big trucks and SUVs with price tags well north of 50 grand. It's lucrative for automakers. They they don't make a lot of margins on the affordable cars that they sell more of. Think about that. Um they can sell these BTGs all the time. I don't think there's a dealer in this country who would say I don't want a more affordable product to offer. Patrick Manzy, chief economist at the National Automobile Dealers Association said. But for now, things are going well. But what happens if we hit another recession, which again people people fear and you know we could be in a recession, but if the stock market doesn't acknowledge it's a recession, are we really in a recession? You know what a recession is? The recession is your neighbor is out of a job. A depression is you're out of a job. Think about that for a moment. You have the FFA kids. they come in and it is you don't need to go to or watch Yellowstone or the Dutton Ranch or the Marshalss to get a taste of the West, whether you're a native uh western person or not. Uh we want to tax 100% of those proceeds and that's an action the state of California can take. It's an action we look forward to taking. Governor, still no endorsement of the governor's race. We have fraud in Minnesota, fraud in Idaho, fraud in California, and we I we we've reached a state I'm not even going to ask you the question. We've reached a state in the world where we just have decided we're not going to to do things. We're just going to make it up as we go, which is sad. Again, part of this effort to blur the lines between church and state. And the governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, made this his top legislative priority for the year last year. Yeah. So now we have Telico deciding that he's going to attack people that go to church. I really don't understand that. So he's going to attack people that go to church that want their kids to be good kids. and not only to be good kids, but actually get a good quality education without the woke, without the joke, without everything else. And instead of uh focusing in on rewarding these kids, we're going to start vilifying voucher programs. We're going to vilify people that want their and that are willing to pay that are willing willing to pay again and again and again an exorbitant price because they do believe in what in the community in the value of education. But here we have uh Mr. Tal Rico, who wants to be Senator Tal Rico, simply saying that if you do this, you're a Christian nationalist. That just doesn't seem right to me. They've actually thanked her several times for their for the blessings of what she taught them and the opportunities that they had they didn't have in regular school when they went back to school. They didn't learn a lot of the things that they learned when they were homeschooled by her. So you know these people that rely on state schools, city schools when we spend so much money and some of the lesser states in our country near amount what we do and other states do especially Washington and California where they're dumbing our children down not teaching them history not teaching the greatness of this nation not teaching the opportunity they have to learn and grow. What are they learning today? Well, you're a victim of everything. Anything that they can throw at their faces? You're underprivileged because you're black. You don't get the opportunities because white people do. And you know, I was raised in an area in Southern California where I had friends that were black, Hispanic. You know, I had friends that were not of this country. And we had a great opportunity because they loved this country. today they're taught to hate it. They're taught to you're you're just underprivileged. You don't have the opportunities that these other people do. And that's not true. It has been proven over and over again. You have to pull yourselves up by your own bootstraps. And you have to learn and get everything you can about truth and quit listening to the garbage that the media keeps putting out that the schools try to dumb it down. It's okay. Oh, you feel like you're Sally instead of B. change your gender and that's okay. And then they want to hide it from the parents when they gender identify it at school. This is insanity. I'm a I guess you'd say a Christian nationalist, and I'm against, um, any public monies going to so-called Christian schools. The reason is is because, you know, way back in way in the 1800s, we had uh only Christian schools. You know, public education didn't get going until the late 1800s. So then the people said, "Well, it's not so bad to have your kids in a public school because the Christians, the teachers are Christians and they'll be able to teach Christianity just kind of like at the at the uh private school at the church school. So let's just let the government finance this and then we'll keep our Christianity in the schools." Well, now look what's happened. And the same thing will happen if we put uh government money into any school. Um that school will eventually turn into a public school. It will be diminished. The uh the teachers, they won't be able to say something like, "Listen, Jesus was resurrected. He's God. I'm for Jesus Christ. I wear a cross. Um, I think you kids should be Christians. If you said that right now in one of those schools, you get in trouble. And so, it's a a stupid idea. And uh, I'll take you back to the Communist Manifesto 1848. um Marks and Eagles, they said all u in [clears throat] their 10th summary point, free education for all children in public schools because that's the way to destroy faith and to destroy family and just have the government as the whole thing. And so, you know, that's where we're going. And you got to get government money out of everything. You got to get government money out you got to get children out of government schools. And so, uh, we need to go back to to just having Christian schools or private schools, an atheist school, a Buddhist school, or whatever kind of school, but you can't have the government financing it or the teachers get um Well, then I mean the the cat's out of the bag, so what are you going to do? You can't shut down everything, can you? I mean, in in your world, let's have a serious discussion here at 58 ideal. In your world, do we uh do we just shut everything down and then what do you do with all the kids? No, you don't shut it down. People start waking up and they start taking their children out of the public schools, putting them in a true private school. Then there's a um a transition. It isn't just, you know, everybody's gonna do it all at once. You know, it'll happen, but but people have to wake up. They have to realize that they're going to destroy their civilization, their world if they continue with public education. And uh so I mean, you know, people, they have to work. They can't teach their children in homeschool. They can't afford a a private school. But in time they'll work that out and there'll be a transition. It isn't just a drop and let's go and leave the children with no place to go. I mean things will work out. But but if if people have faith so that's what I'm saying. Still there Kevin. And uh the tech industry has not changed. And I'm going to tell you that your intelligence agencies like the CIA are tied in with the tech industries and their leftist ideology. The other thing too is how in pardon my French but how in the hell does the CIA have 40 million in gold bars, 303 gold bars lying around? Well, I'm glad you're uh listening today because I'm going to go back and repeat some of the things and give everybody what they don't get from the liberal media and even from mainstream media about what's actually going on. You know, it's unfortunate so many Americans still listen to social media sound bites and the propaganda uh that litters liberal media who work 247 to make people believe how bad the economy is and blame it on the war with Iran. And let me remind everyone how bad things were when Biden was in office. He gave us 21% inflation, skyrocketing costs of everything because of federal regulations, a huge deficit that left Americans struggling with everything being unaffordable. Biden left Trump an economic mess, and an unaffordability crisis that we are now dealing with. We forget under Biden, monthly mortgage payments on mediapric homes more than doubled the value of American weekly paychecks fell 4%. And while an open border caused Americans to lose millions of jobs to illegal aliens and cost of servicing the national debt exploded 117%. Am I getting through yet? Biden added over 160,000 government jobs. And let us not forget the Biden stimulus making everyone feel good as foster stole 250 billion of this money. So on the other hand, last year Trump gave America shock treatment, cutting 350,000 federal jobs, slowed spending by prioritizing private sector growth, fixed the problems created by Biden by bringing trillions in private investment and manufacturing back to the US. closed the border, already deported three of 10 million illegals, while the deficit from the same time in the previous year, physical year, is down 27%. You know, these changes are all good in the long run, but often result in short-term pain, which we are now experiencing in the short run. You know, and until Trump made the decision to deal with this imminent danger of Iran getting a nuclear weapon, something seven previous presidents ignored for 47 years, things were going along very nicely. The shock of having 20% of the world's oil being suddenly cut off is responsible for that current resurgence in inflation as the cost of energy has more than doubled causing the price of everything to rise. Energy is the key to everything that cause it goes into just about everything we make and the transportation of everything we send someplace. How long will the pain last depends on when the war is over and Iran is no longer a threat. And as I said yesterday, and many listeners may not have understood, there is a genuine global supply crisis that's reasonable for most of the current high responsible for most of the high current price of oil. But to be sure, the petroleum companies are cheating and padding margins beyond what's justified by the 20% drop in world oil supply. The fact that most Americans are suffering economically from high energy and food prices is a cause and effect of keeping our country safe from a terrorist nation threatening to nuke us. Is the cost is the cost worth what we're going through right now to save this country from a country that wants to be a wararmonger, has threatened us constantly for the last 47 years. I don't think we need to do anything but think about the prospect of having a nuke come up and hit one of our cities. No, Trump's fighting this war again because seven previous presidents ignored what was happening. In fact, instead of going in and doing something about it, they sent them billions more so they can continue their nuclear expansion and they could continue the terror around the world. So for all of you out there who are discouraged by the current situation, I ask you to think back to four years ago and what we were going through with the phony pandemic and all of the stimulus that was thrown out at us that has raised the debt to the $ 37 trillion level. Trump's doing a better job than we've had since Ronald Reagan. So wake up and smell the roses and stop walking through the horse manure that the liberal media is throwing at you. You can also run into some new laws that have hit our type of businesses, which is consulting space, or on what is required to have sales tax applied, which is not applied to sales tax. Those laws range from things like something involved in advertising or creative output or live training. And the laws are very typical in a bureaucracy. They're very written, poorly written and written in a way that's kind of murky and opaque. So again, another reason why folks are moving to the gem state, if you will. We have an article detailing that on our website. And basically, can you afford to live in Boise? years ago, people would live in um well uh Caldwell or Homedale or you know Payet or Fruitland and you know how much further can you drive when uh the gases are going up so the gas prices is going up so much and I know our friend Kent Goldth will go well that's why D yeah okay Kent um Kent doesn't even have to call in we just have to you know we already know what he's going to say but you know where is affordable living even Ontario now homes that were once a h 100,000 are now three or 400,000 and do you really want to come in and drive in from Ontario again and again and I'm sure there are some taxes that you have to pay in Oregon if you're an Oregon resident and working in Idaho. So again a great message some of the things that we are working on by the way uh let's just uh respond to Mr. Cal Rico, the idea, and we have liberals in Idaho doing this, that if you know, Christians and Christian nationalism is a boogeyman term, a buzzword term, there's nothing more precious in life than our faith. There's nothing more precious and the greatest gift that we can give beyond giving life to children and grandchildren, all the children and all of our pets, is the ability to educate. Because as Lou Dos said, God rest his soul, probably one of the most famous Idahoans ever. Lou Dobs of CNN, of Fox Business, of Lindell TV, who worked his way through Harvard, became a big money guy, and then a big media guy, began in Idaho picking potatoes with migrant workers. And it's been years since we've used this saying, but education, and I believe his term was public education, is the great equalizer or I would dare say liberator in our society. And today, to quote uh our friend Boiseian Nathan Barry, that a multi-gazillionaire has the same tools as a popper, that would be a laptop or going to the library. So, the idea that we're going to rip people, and we see this in our state where people talk about the public school funds that are, you know, going to the voucher system. It's about competition. Now, again, everything isn't fair. We understand that. But when you see a lack of an ROI, and we've had people complain about the colleges and what is being taught and promoted in the colleges, and if they have a chance to give their kid a proper non-woke education, and they're willing to pay the price, i.e. maybe not buying a new car, maybe not going on vacation, maybe not affording the life that they dreamt of when they were young, but to have that deferred gratification to give that to a child that should be celebrated, not vilified. Mr. Tel Rico, I'm sure he was highly educated, should know better than to go after the good people of faith, of the Christian faith, of any faith, for wanting the very best for their kids.
