
Latest Major Recall Is Affecting New Idaho Parents
Becoming a new parent is quite a roller coaster of emotions, thoughts, and realizations; especially for first-time parents. Even if new parents spend a good amount of time preparing to become a new dad or mom, new challenges you're never ready for pop up all the time.

Babies are fascinating in the way they discover the world. For first-time parents, it can be a whirlwind trying to keep your child from getting into things like light sockets, sharp objects, or even the toilet.
Outside of putting the seatbelt on the right way and securing the car seat in the back, many parents don't imagine having to worry about any safety hazards with the car seat.
Unfortunately, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently announced a major recall that will have parents double-checking their car seats.

According to Consumer Reports, over 180,000 Safety 1st car seats are being recalled due to a choking hazard from the foam headrest.
Apparently, there have been thirteen reports of children putting ripped off pieces of foam from the car seat in their mouths. Thankfully, there haven't been any choking incidents reported but that's still thirteen too many.
The affected model numbers are:
- CC321GYU
- CC321GYUD
- CC321GYY
- CC321GYYD
- CC321HAO
- CC321HAR
Is There A Refund? Do We Have To Swap Out The Car Seat?
Thankfully, the headrest defect won't mean parents have to completely swap out their car seats. According to Consumer Reports, if you've registered your car seat here, you could be receiving a replacement headrest by June of this year.
Until then, keep that foam out of the mouths of your kids!
