What is the average salary in Idaho, and Boise more specifically? The answers might surprise you.

I've had more of a focus lately on managing my finances better, and while I've been working on that, the thought crossed my mind: What is the average salary in Idaho? The answer was lower than I expected, but the answer for Boise was higher than I expected.

There's a recent report from ZipRecruiter that says...

"Idaho ranks number 39 out of 50 states for salaries on ZipRecruiter. As of Mar 23, the average annual salary in Idaho is $49,742. Just in case you need a simple salary calculator, that works out to be approximately $23.91 an hour. This is equivalent of $956 a week or $4,145 a month. Most salaries in Idaho range between $35,063 (25th percentile) to $62,365 (75th percentile) annually."

In the grand scheme of things, $49,742 per year is not a very high average. However, Boise does have a higher average than that. According to ZipRecruiter, the average salary in Boise is $59,688 per year.
