Beer and juice: the ultimate Boise playdate

POV: it's a beautifully lazy summer afternoon in Boise, and you're chillin' at a park with your friends. Your feral children are running around, screaming their heads off, laughing, and wearing themselves out. They'll be so exhausted by the time you get home, you won't even have to bust out the melatonin. But let's be honest, you'll probably still give it to 'em as an added insurance policy.

And all of it happened as you sat back, savoring a cold one or sipping a chilled wine cooler. For some parents, that's as close as they'll ever get to hitting the jackpot: fresh air, happy kids, a drink to their right and a friend to their left. Who knew parenting and adulting could be this much fun?

Cheers to lazy summer afternoons, Mom & Dad.

These carefree moments are what summer's all about. Here's to more laidback afternoons like this, where you only need to worry about is who's got the next round in their Igloo cooler.

So, make those happy, slightly buzzed memories one sip at a time, Mom and Dad. You deserve it. Create those memories with your close friends and your littles. Soak up the sun and the simple pleasures of Boise living, and cherish the idea that the best days are the ones where nothing extraordinary happens.

Awesome company, happy kids, a sip of wine or a pull from an icy beer, that's the good stuff, y'all. Interested? The gallery below highlights six Boise-area parks and playgrounds where you can catch buzz while your kids play the day away.

9 Idaho Animal Parents Who Eat Their Kids

Before you judge the filial cannibals in the gallery below, remember:

> they can't escape their homegrown hellions with a therapeutic trip to Target

> there are no babysitters in the wild

> they can't send them off to school five days a week

> and most, if not all of them, were just lonely, h*rny singles looking for a one-night stand who wound up as single parents

Cut 'em some slack, people 🙄
