According to the Idaho Business Review, beef is the state’s second largest agricultural commodity. In fact, there are some notable celebrity chefs that were so blown away by Idaho’s beef products that they were added to the menu at some of the highest rated restaurants in the country.

Snake River Farms reveals that Thomas Keller once featured their Wagyu at his famous restaurant, The French Laundry. Keller’s name may sound familiar because he’s frequently mentioned on the smash FX show, The Bear and made a cameo appearance in Season 3. Joel McHale’s character is loosely based on him, as well.
Wolfgang Puck was equally impressed, saying that he preferred the Idaho raised product over some of the highest quality Japanese Wagyu you can buy. He served it at Spago, one of his restaurants in LA.
Snake River Farms also played an essential role in the "Cowboy Camp" the producers of Yellowstone hosted to prep the cast for Season 4 of the show. More on that HERE.
While we think it’s pretty cool that you can find Idaho beef in some high profile restaurants in and around LA, there’s no need to travel to enjoy a good Idaho steak. Many of the most well respected food blogs say the absolute best steakhouse in Idaho can be found in the heart of Downtown Boise!
Chandlers Unanimously Chosen as Best Steakhouse in Idaho According to Foodie Experts
It’s no secret that Chandlers routinely appears on a list of the highest rated restaurants in the Treasure Valley, but now some big name food publications are honoring it as the best steakhouse in Idaho. Chandlers has been named the “best steakhouse in Idaho” by:
While the atmosphere, its nightly live jazz music and famous “10 Minute Martini” got a number of shoutouts from the authors of these prestigious lists, it was the quality of the steaks they serve that put Chandlers in the top spot time and time again.
Of the 12 specialty steaks on the menu, three of them are Northwest American Wagyu from none other than Idaho’s Snake River Farms, including the pricey, but delicious 10 oz. Bull’s Eye Ribeye which is priced at $110.
Think that’s expensive? It’s far from the most expensive steak on the menu. If you’re feeling very high-brow on a night meant for celebration, they have a 10 oz. certified A5 Japanese Wagyu filet mignon on the menu for $280.
