Snake River Stampede Returns: A Treasure Valley Tradition More Than 100 Years in the Making
When people think of Idaho traditions, the Snake River Stampede has to be near the top of the list. This year’s Snake River Stampede promises five days of world-class rodeo action, community events, fundraising, and a few opportunities to enjoy some of Idaho’s best food and wine along the way.

An Idaho Rodeo Built on More Than a Century of Tradition
What started as a simple bucking horse competition during Nampa’s harvest festival back in 1913 has grown into one of the premiere professional rodeos in the country. Today, the Snake River Stampede is considered one of the top regular-season rodeos in the nation and has even been inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame.

What to Expect at This Year’s Snake River Stampede
This year’s Stampede runs June 16th through the 20th at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, bringing five days of world-class rodeo action featuring bull riding, barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping, breakaway roping, and more. Of course, fan favorites like mutton busting and the incredible Snake River Stampeders Night Light Drill Team will also be back.

More Than Just a Rodeo
One event that continues to make a huge difference in our community is Pink on the Dirt. That’s happening Wednesday and features a luncheon, auction, and fundraising efforts benefiting Stampede for the Cure, which supports breast cancer awareness and screenings throughout the Treasure Valley. Over the years, Stampede for the Cure has helped raise more than a million dollars for local breast cancer programs.

Wine Down Returns After Last Year's Debut
If wine is more your speed, the Stampede Wine Down event returns after last year's big debut. You can enjoy tastings from Idaho wineries, live music, food trucks, local vendors, and a relaxed summer evening celebrating Idaho’s growing wine industry. Attendees receive a commemorative wine glass, tasting passport, picnic blanket, and samples from wineries representing the Snake River Valley, Eagle Foothills, and Lewis-Clark Valley wine regions.

Whether you’re there for the rodeo, Pink on the Dirt, Wine Down, or just to experience one of Idaho’s most iconic traditions, the Snake River Stampede continues to be one of the biggest celebrations of western heritage anywhere in the Northwest.
