Should Idahoans Be Allowed To Wear Elf Ears To Work?
Does your office have a dress code that all employees must abide by? You know, something like:
Examples and basic elements for appropriate and professional business attire includes items such as collared shirts, ties, blouses, blazers, suit jackets, sweaters, slacks, dresses/skirts of appropriate length, socks and dress shoes including heels.
You'll notice there's no language in there discussing wearing elf ears to the office. So, should that be allowed?
Many businesses do not include any specifics in their dress code when it comes to prosthetic elf ears being worn during business hours.
All jokes aside, what if someone really wanted to? Is there some bi-law or sub-entry in the dress code forbidding employees from wearing elf ears because they're distracting?
What if someone truly identifies as an elf, and wearing the ears is a part of their everyday lifestyle? What if they're not hurting anyone, but Connie in finance thinks it's "inappropriate for the office."
What's your take? Should Idaho employees be allowed to wear elf ears to work if they choose to? Chime in.

If you missed it, we recently asked a similar question about employees wearing tails to work, and the comments were pretty much anything but accepting.
It doesn't sound like we'll be getting an additional entry in the dress code permitting tails in the office anytime soon.

You can probably get away with wearing those elf ears to a holiday party, and no one will be privy to your little secret. We're certainly not telling.
