Ope.

Did you forget to get your Idaho STAR Card? You know, so you're legally able to board a plane and enjoy a flight?

You didn't? Well, okay. Luckily, we still have some options here.

Is it too late to get my Star Card?

No, of course not. However, as of today (Wednesday, May 7th 2025) you are no longer permitted to board a plane to fly here in the U.S. You can absolutely get your new STAR Card, but until then you're literally grounded.

What do I do if I need to travel soon?

Again, there are a few options for you to take to the skies, even if you don't have your updated STAR Card yet. If you find yourself planning a trip soon, and absolutely have to travel, you are still fully permitted to board a plane if you possess one of the following:

  • U.S. Passport
  • Military ID
  • Federal Tribal ID

Don't have one of those? Don't have a STAR Card? Well, looks like you're driving to Tuscaloosa this year for the family reunion!

P.S. Tell Aunt Debbie we say hi.

P.P.S. Don't tell Uncle Angelo we said hi. You know why. People don't forget.
