Pro Football Team Coming to Idaho?
With Super Bowl around the corner, we're all kinda in football mode, right? Well, how would you like to see some professional football games right here in Idaho? I mean can this actually happen? According to the Idaho Statesman, an indoor professional football team is eyeing the gem state as their home base, er, end zone?
The Statesman reports that a team called the Idaho Horsemen would likely play at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa; with their season kicking off in 2019. It seems like this is actually happening, with season tickets already on sale and cheerleader (Lady Spurs) tryouts scheduled for February 25.
As far as the Ford Idaho Center goes, the Statesman reports "[they] hope it works out [..] There’s no product like it right now in the Valley. Even more specifically, there’s no team to get behind in this part of town.”
So, you may have heard that WWE's Vince McMahon is reigniting the XFL football league; well, that's not where the Idaho Horsemen would play. If this thing goes through, they'd be a part of the Indoor Football League (IFL).
So what do you think? Should Idaho be the home of the proposed pro football team?
