Northwest Nazarene University has announced that its fall enrollment is the second largest in the universities history. School officials say the size of the incoming Freshman class is part of the reason for the increase. The university has had an 11 percent growth in first-time freshmen. The registrar reports 288 first-time freshmen registered, compared to 258 in the fall of 2013.

Numbers for 2014 indicate an increased total enrollment of 1,332 undergraduate and 726 graduate and doctoral students for a total enrollment of 2,058, compared to 2,036 students last fall. In May, for the first time in its 100-year history, NNU graduated more graduate students than undergraduate students.
