While most school kids are just excited to wrap up another school year and make plans for a fun summer. There are some students at Hillsdale Elementary in Meridian that are working on Blankets of Hope to donate to the homeless in Boise.

Our friends at KTVB first did the story highlighting the tremendous efforts of the students. They write heartfelt letters to people in need that are then given out with warm blankets at Interfaith Sanctuary in Boise.

Blankets of Hope is a nonprofit that was created by two brothers from New York City. The brothers saw homeless people who were freezing and wanted to help change that.

Those two brothers created a movement which now includes schools across the nation joining in to help the homeless population.

This is just another example of why we are so lucky to live here in the Treasure Valley, where people actually look out for their neighbors.
