The Price and Rules of Mega Millions is Changing in Idaho

The Idaho Lottery will be making rule and pricing changes beginning April 5th, 2025.

So, what's the deal? What will be different when you play the lottery beginning this April? Well, it's a numbers thing, according to an Idaho Lottery spokesperson:

The changes include "bigger prizes and a new, unique gameplay format."

Moving forward, the price of said tickets are expected to be $5 each once the change is implemented. Idaho Lottery Sales Director, Larry Polowski:

The price change for Mega Millions means Idaho players will have a very diverse portfolio of draw games to choose from at different prices with differing top jackpots. While Mega Millions will have a unique game style, we still offer games with life-changing prizes that begin at $1 per play.
