50 Dead Crows in Nampa
A disturbing scene in Nampa where 50 dead crows were found dead. Fifty dead crows were found by the Nampa Police Department on January 19th in the 400 block of 3rd Street South. The bodies were turned over to Idaho Fish and Game for testing.
The results of the test showed the crows were positive for a substance that is commonly used in rat poison and is a known anticoagulant.
The Nampa Police Department is notifying the public that it is unlawful to poison animals including birds. They want to alert the public that this poison is obviously very dangerous and to take extreme caution when handling dead animals/birds.
If you happen to come across a large number of dead birds, please contact Nampa Animal Control or the Idaho Fish and Game Department.
