One lane is open Westbound now on a section of interstate 84 that had been shutdown due to massive potholes that have caused damage to several vehicles driving on the freeway.   Treasure Valley commuters should plan for delays if traveling Westbound this morning.  ITD urges you to use caution and remember that weather conditions are not optimal.

Wednesday ITD had  detoured drivers at the Northside Blvd. and then routed them back onto the freeway at milepost 29.  For more information check out our news partners at KTVB.

The Nampa Police Department posted the following on their Facebook Page:  Happening This Morning - closures on I-84 WB from MP 35 (Northside Blvd) to MP 29 (Franklin in Caldwell) for emergency road repair. Traffic will be re-routed N on Northside to Hwy 20/26 (Chinden), then W to MP 29 on-ramp back on to I-84. Avoid the area if possible. This emergency repair cannot wait. Vehicles were being damaged driving through the area. Please be patient if this is your route of travel. Safety First. #1T1M #Partnerships #Patience

Reverend Bill Roscoe described the potholes as larger than watermelons.  "If you hit a pothole like that one on a motorcycle, you'd end up in the ditch,' he told us on 580 KIDO this morning.
