Tomorrow is Friday the 13th, which I think is the perfect way to kick off the spooky season! Little bonus, we'll get a beautiful full moon to celebrate the unlucky date.

It's officially called a Harvest Moon because it's the full moon occurring closest to the equinox.

The moon will be it's fullest just before midnight on Friday the 13th, but will technically appear from tonight through Sunday morning.

According to an article on KTVB, having a full moon coincide with the creepy date is super rare. In fact, there hasn't been a Friday the 13th full moon since October 13, 2000, and it's not expected to happen again until September 13, 2049.

Do you get into the Friday the 13th and full moon superstitions? When I took my kids to New York City recently they noticed that there wasn't the 13th floor in our hotel and we talked about how 13 is supposedly unlucky and hotels don't typically have a 13th floor because no one would want to stay in those rooms! I'm not superstitious, but I do think it's kind of fun when these types of events coincide.
