So much for the new Rosanne.  She's sassy, she's lovable, and she's a Trump Conservative.  She's fired today from ABC because of a racist tweet.  There is no defense for what Rosanne Barr was tweeting about former President Obama's National Security Advisor Valerie Jarrett.  If you have a life, or unlike most folks in the Treasure Valley, and are working today, Rosanne tweeted "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj,”.  Her attempts to delete and apologize for the tweet failed to save her popular television show on ABC.

Her new show had finished the season at number one for scripted dramas, reports the Hollywood Reporter.  The series showed strength in the 18-49 demographic group.  President Trump praised the show as a tribute to the forgotten Americans.

The network has been involved in challenging issues in the past. ABC, which owns ESPN, has been caught in another controversy due to comments by their on-air talents using social media. Sports writer Jemele Hill tweeted that President Trump was a White Supremacist.

She did not lose her job but was eventually suspended for violating ESPN's social media policy.  The Wal Street Journal recently documented Disney/ABC's turn towards left-wing politics.

ESPN last week announced the hiring of Keith Olbermann who has routinely used profanity to describe President Trump.  You can read the title of his book here.

Again, there is no defense for what Rosanne tweeted, and she should be fired.  However, what does it say about ABC and ESPN, that their code of conduct only flows one way?
