Last night was a good night for Russ Fulcher. The former Idaho State Senate Majority Caucus leader has been elected to serve Idaho as the Congressman for the First Congressional District. Here's a look at how he did it.

Russ Fulcher's campaign centered on listening to the people of Idaho. The former Micron Executive launched a listening tour over four years when he challenged Governor Butch Otter in the Republican Primary.

Russ listened to the people on tour and after a close loss to Otter kept in touch with most of them. Four years later, he's running for Congress against a highly competitive field made up of state representatives, former elected officials, and grassroots activist.

Fulcher's team, composed of family members and close advisers, developed a game plan to win the primary. Residents of the First Congressional District, got used to seeing 'Russ in his Truck' driving from town to town.

The combination of grassroots, digital media and earned media were unmatched in both the primary and the general election. The result was a Fulcher victory in 2018.
