A wet Monday morning greeted several people who stopped the Nampa Wal Mart to donate pennies, dimes, coins, dollars, and other items to help Treasure Valley families through the ministries of the Boise Rescue Mission.

Channel 7's Larry joined Kevin Miller to kick off the week of urging the community to consider making a difference before leaving for Summer vacations. Dave Petso, of Petso Financial, answered several questions concerning the state of local businesses.  Mr. Petso shared his thoughts on why he supports the Boise Rescue Mission.

Miller's Mission has been raising funds for the Mission since 2010.   During the first year, Kevin lived at the River of Life facility.  He experienced firsthand what local homeless families and individuals experience.  He ate three times daily and was assigned jobs that had to be completed throughout the day.  Kevin also took part in the vocational training programs that assist folks in the New Life Program and the Veteran's skills program.

If you can't make it to the Nampa mission, you can donate online by clicking on the link here.

During this week, Kevin Miller will be covering the news of the day, taking your calls and something that only happens during Miller's Mission.  Graduates who have completed the program courageously share their stories on air.  It's honest, authentic, and emotional.

Please take a listen this week or stop by and say hi to Kevin Miller.
