Tragedy At Mountain Home Air Show
Officials from Mountain Home Air Force Base report that one man has died from injuries during a demonstration at the base today. The hang glider pilot was taken to a hospital in Boise, but later succumbed to his injuries.
The pilot's name is Dan Buchanan according to KTVB. The accident caused the popular Gun Fighter Skies Air Show to be shutdown for the rest of Saturday. The elite Air Force Thunderbirds were scheduled to appear today, but will do so tomorrow when the base reopens to the public.
There will be a memorial service for Buchanan tomorrow during the air show. He was a well experienced pilot with over 36 years in the air. No word on what caused the accident at the time of publication.
