The total damage have not been reported at this time.  The Boise County Assessors told the Statesman the office complex was valued at 311,000.  No word on when or if the impacted businesses will begin the process of rebuilding.

Idaho City Mayor Gary Secor Jr. told KTVB how the fire will impact the tourist season.  "It's right at the beginning of summer and business owners are getting stocked back up after a long slow winter for all of us," he told Ch 7. "It hurts. It's bad for our little town."

This was not the first time that Idaho City businesses have been victims of fires.  Donna's Place went up in flames in 2004 and 2010.  Co-owner Skip Meyers told KTVB.

"We don't want another fire because it's pretty hard on people and it was hard on us. It's hard on our employees. We've had employees who stuck with us - and Thank God. They're just great people," he said.

He also says Idaho City is strong and they'll rebuild--again

"I think they can. I think it's going to be wonderful for them but they just don't know it now. I'm supportive of them. We're supportive of them. So it's just a big loss...(emotional) I'm so sorry," said Meyers.
